That's why on my Les Paul studio I changed both the 3 way and the jack to Switchcraft. Did all the electronics; pots wiring switch jacks pickups.

It’s partly inherent to the switch’s design. I bought a brand new switchcraft toggle and it was gooched right out of the box. Apparently it’s more common than you’d think

I didn't do mine cause of any problems. I did it to upgrade my working tool. Don't want problems while out doing my job. Plus my studio was bought used with 496/ 500 pups and I wanted all I could get out of it.

Thank you! This worked for me. I thought perhaps it needed to be resoldered and was going to send it in for repair. Happy it’s fixed and for free.

Why do we need the mega-sized captions covering the entire screen?

The switch on my guitar seems to be working based on both inspecting it and also using an ohmmeter on it. But my treble pickup doesn’t work, only my rhythm one. What could be causing this problem?

Mine is a new guitar and it seems to be giving problem since 3 months now 😢 .. The toggle switch compresses the sound so low that even in distortion it sounds clean acoustic like . But after switching up down a while.. the sound gets back . Should I ask for replacement or is it a common problem which can be fixed like this

These switches are no good on Epiphones. All of mine have had problems. I’ve got the double neck and all 3 switches have issues! 😂

I have a really weird problem. When i play on my les paul and put my neck pickup on 0 volume and tone i can somehow hear something from my bridge pickup. And when i put them both on zero its gone. Why can i hear another pickup on one thats on zero volume, it makes no sense

I’m having switch problems and notice that as well. I think with some types of wiring (using 50’s wiring in mine) there’s a small but noticeable amount of bleed from the other pickup, even if it’s not selected

When your volumes are on zero, there’s a break in the circuit that “bleeds”. The volume pot will still do it’s thing on the other pickup

@@JeremySteamsack oh ok yea it could be that but i think that i may have solved it. Its the pickupswitch that has issues. Its been in a downwards spiral after this comment so my other pickup doesnt work but the other one does and it cracks loudly but i can still play on bridge which i use mostly so im allright so far... will buy a replacement soon tho.
