    You made my day ❣️ I am 64. Been crocheting for 56 yrs off and on. I don't do that many different stitches. I get intimidated. I can't read a pattern. You have changed it all. My beanies have always been the rectangular double crochet. Cinched at the top. I finished yours and it's beautiful. Christmas presents are on the way. Thank you so much. Looking forward to seeing and learning more from you❣️ thank you again! HAPPY HOOKING 😊

    I love this hat, I just made one longer than the bottom of my ears and made a cuff fold. warmer ears, the stretch is awesome. Just started another one. The stretch is nice because it fits a smaller head or a bigger one. I made several of your waffle pattern hats, but as far as fit goes this is much easier. I just left the bottom as is and folded it up. Thank you!

    Mentioning new tips from FiSpi… I ❤️the way you, FiSpi, use the crochet hook in such a way for it to be an extension of your finger tips! A really economical movement (for speed & using less energy) -so clever😊Those lovely hooks & you ❤each other!?! Wish I could use them (even if you still can buy those partic ones…)but they twizzle around in my hand too much & I lose direction! Thank you j c 🦜🦜

    This is a fantastic tutorial. I notice some people are doubting the size. I have made several of these beanies and after round 6 when you have 72 stitches if it measures 5.5"-6" it will fit a adult head. Also it takes a while for it to take the shape of a beanie it might look like a "saucer" just keep going around and make sure you maintain 72 stitches you'll be good to go✔️💯

  • @KiyoNanni

    @KiyoNanni Yes it should indeed my head is roughly the same circumstance. Of course it depends on your tension I have fairly tight tension and it fits me great. This hat has a fair bit on stretch once completed.

  • @KiyoNanni

    @KiyoNanni

    @@walterwhite5100 thank you for you comment. I decided to change the hook size to K from round 7, to make it large enough to fit a head circumference of 23", and it turned out too large, and my son in law was "swimming' in it, so I went back down to hook size J, and it worked out just fine. In the video instructions, no mention was made of the head circumference this pattern would fit, for instance from head circumference 22 " to 23". For me, my head circumference is 21.5 and I had to go down to hook size I for the final 3 rows. All good now!

    I made this pattern before I saw your tut, but I couldn't quite see how to do the increases, which is why I came looking. 😂 😍 There was one thing I came up w/ tho that might make this hat just a tad warmer w/out sacrificing electricity? In the the in-between stitches, where the increases go, make the stitches from the BACK: instead of going for the yarn w/ the hook from the front like we usually do, go for the yarn through the gap from the back, & pull the yarn through the that way, as if you were going to do a back post. When you see the row done that way, you'll see the stitches closing up the gaps much better, meaning less air flow in those rows. A great advantage when those folks have to spend any time outdoors with these hats! ❤ It was just a chance I took because I couldn't remember how I did an old pattern I made for an old friend! I hope it's easy to understand. Otherwise, I'll try to post a cpl of pics to show what i mean. I'm not great at social media.😅
