Quick & Easy ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro: First Steps to Learn the Basics

New to ArcGIS Pro? Making the transition from ArcMap? I've got you covered in your first day with ArcGIS Pro by showing you the basic ideas of this awesome software. We will launch the software, look at the data Catalog, learn how to navigate on the menus, add some GIS data, learn where the analysis tools are, and finally make a map together. Let's do this.

Hello, I am migrating soon! From ArcMAp 10.8 with RouteSmart tool. Does ANYONE here know or use any routing tools, in ArcPro? For more than 2,ooo locations? i.e. for me, it is newspaper home delivery. THANKS!!

Hey Doc. Great vids. How difficult would it be to create a "tool" that creates a layer of systematic grid plots over a selected polygon; distance between plots set by user, as well as a set-back from polygon boundaries? I have one for ARCMAP but I don't believe it will transfer to ARCPRO.

I think tool creation is a little easier in ArcGIS Pro. It's a hard thing when you have a good and working tools you've created in earlier generations of ESRI products that you want to make in the new ones. I had some really amazing tools in ArcView 3.2 but then just didn't transfer over to ArcGIS 8.0, so I had to abandon them for new work flows. Have you started the process to make the tool again in ArcGIS Pro?

@@MapYoda I didn’t create the tool I was using. Tool creation is beyond my current knowledge. I’ve got my hands full just learning arc pro.
