I found your videos yesterday and I am obsessed! Your story is similar to mine.. I've been doing my own hair since 10 or 11 as well! 7:29 yup! I’ve found when I looked at the twists just in general I notice they look more uniform as a twist when they’re medium-ish or larger and then when braiding on myself my smaller braids look better and I can grip better, but I don’t like small braids. 😭 And that’s so weird to me but yea it’s the opposite.

The flat twists look so much easier to do than the cainrows
