Clamp piece of wood cross the pipe (opposite side of the cutting end). Find the centre and mount ball bearing there. Push it against guide to make cut. Centre is easier to line up and eliminates any wobble. Love your inventions.

For years I've been dreaming of making a pipe cutting arrangement a bit like this. I was gonna use bearings instead of casters and I want to somehow clamp the pipe between three sets of bearings so the pipe is tightly trapped and hopefully aligned so that it won't wander lengthwise.

That was my first thought as well. Searching on it, Ductile iron (water) pipe has been made with asbestos "cement" lining into the 1980's, one of the properties was an extra smooth surface reducing the need for pumping power. Cant hurt to do a "wet" cut regardless, cement dust also isn't brilliant for once lungs.
