Not really. I mean, he is good, but he scams his viewers. Most of the products he reviews are dropshipped, and says they are on amazon for 10x what they go for elsewhere. Apexinno is a dropshipping company and it always angers me seeing him place them so highly.

As soon as i saw you ask for a welder, i ran to my vr headset! I gave it a try and i can say... Not worth $1000 frickin dollars. Id say maybe $10 at most. $1000 dollars is literally what half of my schooling costed. Ive been welding for seven years now and those welds looked nothing like they do irl. I couldnt even see the puddle of molten metal which is what us welders are primarily staring at while we are welding. And most egregiously, the stick and tig training did not require you to feed rod which is what every beginner struggles with. 0/10 piece of junk.

Bought a quest 2 as my first headset when it dropped to 200 bucks and haven't regretted it - and if I miss out on some games going forward it's not a big deal to me, I can wait for a quest 4 - plenty to play on 2

That would be nice, always have the time at a glance and feel like a smart watch to navigate... There was a rumor a smart watch might be incorporated once but that doesn't seem to be the case now.

That's why I avoid buying smartwatch and wait for AR/VR headset that have good spec and a software that turn your wrist into smartwatch that you can operate with your hands

@@jaybratt and if you have a phone for waist tracking it gets 100x better. it can do things most external fbt solutions cant do with hiccups. YOU CAN ROLL OVER!!!!

I Have A META Quest 3 and V.66. And Yes There are wrist Buttons for hand Tracking and it’s under experimental.

I was thinking about getting the Quest 3 Lite-but FRESNEL LENSES??? Never going back to them now that I’m enjoying the pancake lenses. And as for RayBan, I love the smart AI part-but I can not get decent transition lenses and they should first be sunglasses! Anyway, I agree with the others that Jay is doing a great job and we congratulate him on his new upcoming office!!!! 🎉🎊🥳

Thanks doc!! Yeah Fresnel feel so last gen once you get used to them. I was using my PSVR2 and even that just felt like it had such a small sweet spot. Not good!

Wow I'm glad i wasn't the only one having Quest Pro controllers on my Quest 3 being an issue. Every single time I start up the headset they would have to update. idk if it's fixed for me or not yet. And there were also other issues with Quest Pro controllers on the Quest 3, which delegated me to hand tracking often and it was always a pain.

Yeah, I also have a Quest 2 and Quest 3, but the clarity of pancake lenses, the resolution bump with dual displays and real ipd adjustment, were what made it worth the money. I mostly use my Quest 3 for PCVR though. The Wifi 6E, XR2 Gen 2 and colour passthrough were just a nice bonus.

Glad to hear the quest pro controllers get fixed. Was really confused/worried that mine stopped working

I've been using my Q3 as pcvr for the past 2 weeks and thought that was the reason my quest pro controllers were having issues. I have to click the start and meta buttons one time as soon as i turn on the quest and wait for the hand tracking to come up then pull the triggers and the pros come up. 90 percent of the time.

I think what gets me most excited is the potential for those crazy high resolution screens. It might be the first spec that reaches its equilibrium first..

I don't have any insight into this, but could the cameras in the earbuds be used to facilitate positional/directional audio?

Thanks for reporting on the problem with the pro controllers (w/ Quest 3). I'm having this exact problem and the Meta support was suggesting I needed a replacement of the controllers even though this is clearly a software issue. Trying out the PTC v66 now.

@@jaybratt Well, it 90% worked for me. They always seem to connect now (when I put on the HMD), but 10% of the time the handtracking hands disappear and the hands+controllers don't show up, while there's no tracking. The even weirder thing is, that if I open the shutdown dialog, there's a white dot that is tracked in reverse of my controller movement (up/down, left/right). The good thing, though, is that I can always let the headset+controllers go to sleep, and wake them up and it works.

I want to buy a second Quest 3 mainly for PCVR, but I wait until I see what the Q3 Lite has to offer, if the specs are like in your Video I will buy a "standard" Quest 3 (I hope they announce a base model with 256gb). I don`t need fresnel lenses anymore. At the moment I use my Pico 4 for PCVR which is great, but I love the Q3 with the BoboVR S3 so much, its so comfy, that I want to change to that.

That would be so cool to have something jaybratt on my intertanment center

I am not planning on getting the Quest 3S but it is just nice to know all about the new headsets. i also feel this is the replacement for the Quest 2. I think the specs on the quest 3s are perfectly reasonable. It's going to be a lighter, cheaper device, making compromises on passthrough and optics; The benefit to the compromises being made is an accessible option for people who can't afford the Quest 3 to get into VR while more titles move to Quest 3 exclusives, which will also mean a longer support period which is crucial to people who can't afford the higher end device.

I have not buyed any vr headset i was considering quest 2 but now ill wait for quest 3 lite

They would have to be very convincing now for me to even consider the quest 3 lite after hearing it's pretty much just an awkward quest 2.5. Seriously? No pancake lenses? The horrible spacers of the 2? I was considering getting one because it most likely barely seeming like only a minor downgrade, but I feel like they still could have done better with it.

Yeah, these still aren't final specs but it does lend toward every rumor and leak we've heard so far so it sounds like it could be pretty accurate.

Well the better model is simply a Quest 3. They have to cut something to keep prices down on the lite version. If the cuts are too much, then the regular Quest 3 is still there.

Should I just wait to see if the quest 3s is real or pick up the quest 2

I'd hold out a bit for to see the price on the 3S. If they replace the Quest 2 at the same price you'd definitely be glad you waited

Many. Pro controllers do their own tracking, are heavy and have to be recharged themselves. 3 controllers are less accurate but lighter and they're included instead of paying 100s more

If the Quest 3 Lite will cost like 200-250USD I am excited for it. I hope thats the plan. While the new SD chip will make games look fantastic on this display the lenses were the worst part of Q2 especially for IPD3 users. Kinda sad to see them again in a new product.

Why In your list of current Meta Quest 3 and 2 setup, you don't list what charging dock you use? I want to get the BoboVR S3 Pro Strap but I want to make sure it fits correctly on what ever the charging dock I get. It looks like you are using the Meta Quest Charging Dock, I like to know what third party dock works well with the BoboVR S3 Pro strap. Thanks

I don’t need meta looking in my ears with their camera earbuds and the AI nagging me to clean them out….

I have commented before on earlier videos..... I am handicapped and cannot move around like the average person. So I have no interest in the ability to move around with AR function. I do want more power and better optics. So Quest 3 is nott for me. Not interested in paying for added features I will not use.

I won't be buying a quest 3 until it's priced below $400. Even then, just 1 exclusive game (batman) won't make me buy the 3 even if it's $400. For $300 I would buy the quest 3 with only 1 exclusive game. Passthrough doesn't intrest me either with its current capabilities

i understand meta cant have pancake lenses on a cheap headset but the ipd setting is so horrible, why would they do this again if its one of the worst features on the quest 2?!

Why call it Quest 3 s ?? Most people associate the S with Super . Would be more honest if they called it C Quest 3 with the C for Cheap and not Seaquest 😂😂

Quest 3 lite with 3 position ipd adjustment = Not worth it knowing how bad it is in Quest 2 is easily the worse ipd adjustment on the market that even $10 cardboard VR have far better ipd adjustment
