At 2:20 that is one of the greatest plays I’ve ever seen from an o line. I am a Trojan and I hate ND. I can say that was fucking incredible. That was against the NC Georgia Bulldogs! (I know they lost but come one, they won that game. The refs helped Alabama and changed that game). Anyway back to this kid. Please Colts pick this dude up and give Luck the protection he needs to be great! Nothing worse than seeing one of the greatest QBs get injured because the GM is worthless....

Man, the way he seals off his man to create running lanes... Could be lethal for any offense at the next level. Dude's like a grown man picking on little boys out there. Great mixture of power, technique, and mobility. Beast.

My greatest joy watching ND football this season was seeing Quenton Nelson utterly dominate every player he went against. I've never watched a more impressive interior Linemen. I witnessed plays I had never seen before on a football field - the lost, then regained balance against the Georgia D-Lineman, pancaking players while Pass-blocking, destroying two Southern Cal players with a single block, and on and on. Although I've only read and heard stories, it's very possible Mr. Nelson is an even better person than player. I'm proud he's Irish and appreciate how well he represents the University of Notre Dame. To give you a technical answer: He set in pass protection, saw the blitz coming from the other side, floated over to pick it up, and completely creamed the blitzer. That's really high level stuff.

just shows that he's got the smarts it takes to play in the NFL. Obviously has the physicality to do it but he plays smart too. Dude will be a superstart for years to come.

God. Damn. Your only chance of beating him is to somehow avoid him getting a hand on you, because if he does, you're done.

He gets amazing leverage on his blocks. The Giants need this guy. Forget about a QB. Let's get an offensive line like we had when we won super bowls... we haven't had an offensive line since Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw was on the team.

Best video on the internet. Connor, great job mentoring your little brother, and great job on the video. The amazing thing is if you watch Q, this happens every play. Most dominating guard to ever play the game.

This guy may be the best run blocker I've ever seen in college and is very good in pass protection as well. He is very likely a pro bowler as a rookie and could likely be an all-pro too. Best interior lineman prospect of this decade. Too bad my Texans don't have a pick until the third round

Minkah is another great option! But right now i think building around Jimmy G is important and it starts with the Offensive Line, i mean we have Trent Brown but Joe Staley is getting old and we dont really have anything else! Then if Christian Kirk falls to us in the 2nd Round lets go for him as well!

I don't usually like o line in the first round.. and if barkley is still around at the niners turn, (unlikely but still possible) then by all means grab him. But this dude is my second choice by far. This guy will turn one of our greatest weaknesses (interior line) into a great strength very, very fast.

I wouldn't be surprised if the giants take him with the 2nd overall pick even if Saquon Barkley is available which he might not be but after the nate soldier signing it seems that gettleman is committed to strengthening the offensive line and Nelson would certainly help.

3:21 he ploughes them then pulls and is the first one following all the way into the inzone 30 yards away. What a motor....GO COLTS. We can run again!!

ND ran so much you never got to see his pass blocking abilities. You can see 8 and 9 man fronts on defense very play, yet ND still managed to run effectively. Well two 1st round picks on the OL helps.

I literally feel safer myself knowing he's now protecting our beloved QB in Indy. Also, our young RBs are going to love that left side.

Holy fuck, this guy could play Guard and Tackle at the same time............I hope Denver takes him at #5.........

Up until now I was hoping for a quarterback but after reading about Nelson and seeing his highlights I'd say grab him even if you don't need him. He's a Von Miller but on the O-line. If I were Elway I'd grab Nelson, if he's even available at 5, and take a chance on a QB in the second round. And there will still be a ton of QB talent available in the second round. Quinton Nelson could almost ensure Case Keenum becoming a franchise quarterback. Considering Matt Paradis, one of the best centers in the league; Ron Leary, rated as one of the best guards in the NFL last year; Garrett Boles, expected to have a break out sophomore season, the addition of Quenton Nelson to the O-line could almost ensure Keenum becoming a franchise quarterback.

When an offensive lineman has a highlight film. You it's going to be good.

He's a pure Steve Hutchinson... Size power and athleticism

Giants are taking this beast at #2. Gettleman wants him and O line is their biggest priority. He'll anchor the Giants O line for the next decade. Giants already interviewed him and love him. In round 2 they will then target that nasty run blocking guard from Georgia, and suddenly their interior O line is scary. Gettleman is the same guy, who rebuilt the Panthers O line in 2013, and he is already on record as saying he wants to build a smash mouth ground and pound running game between the tackles. Nelson will be the foundation of that plan watch and see.

Not as flashy a block but his most impressive play is at 8:28. Jolts his guy, tosses him to his teammate and picks up a linebacker down field. The strength and processing power that takes is ridiculous.

Reminds me of when I played football in highschool and we faced a good as highschool with stacked o-line that were all over 6 foot 4 with full grown beards. I remember they had one specific lineman who apparently had it out for me since I had 2 picks the week before and went up field and demolished me everytime their RB ran the ball. I feared that fuckin dude lol

Hernandez 973 ya %100 agree. I played SS so I completely agree. The thing is you have to start by protecting Luck. Then go draft a Defense Rnd 2,3,4,5,6,7 If I were the GM I would take Nelson 1 then there will be some great edge rushers and DBs but I would take the best inside rusher which a top 2 or 3 inside rusher/run stuffer will be there top of the 3rd so go best Corner or Edge top of the 2nd. Then vice versus for the 4th. ILB or safety 5 vice versus 6. I would do that two years in a row with minor adjustments especially if there are some incredible talents that fall in your lap. Then in free agency fill the holes and you are in the Super Bowl in 3 years. Boom. It’s not rocket science ;)
