@DarkSideOfTheBrightSide
8 жыл бұрын
+lloydymk2013 nah, man.. Vic Vega is Vincent's brother, it's been confirmed the movies are in the same universe.. The buyer of those diamonds was Marcelous Wallace, he was purchasing those diamonds from Joe Cabot..it's implied due to Vic & Vince being brothers.. Joe knew the place to get those diamonds from, while Marcelous Wallace had the cash & ppl to move them too.. Provided by the Vega brothers after Vic got out of Jail.. He was close to Joe and his son, the closest- plus it's the same briefcase as well, the one Mr. Pink was running with.. The diamond were stashed away, and some kids found it.(hence the ones that got killed at the beginning) they had a business deal with Wallace to return the diamonds for a price- and they decided they could get more money for them & kept them.. Well, that's more logical than a soul.. Considering the restaurant scene, how the guy was looking at them- and the whole speech about Devine intervention.. If Vincent saw a soul? He'd follow Jewels- quittin
@lloydymk2013
8 жыл бұрын
+Above Beyond when tarantino was asked which was correct he said both and neither. He lets the audience decide themselves he said thats what makes it great. I like the soul theory. The old japanese myth (tarantino is heavily into these topics) about the soul being taken from the back of the neck. that marselous had sold his soul and wanted it back. which explains why he had the plaster on the back of his neck in all the scenes when he didnt have the briefcase, and it was missing in all scenes when he has the briefcase back.
@DarkSideOfTheBrightSide
8 жыл бұрын
lloydymk2013 But, that was explained too by Quentin, he said he cut himself shaving- and, Quentin decided it looked great for the part, gave the character more of an realistic feel.. it had no significance to the story. But, true.. it's up to the audience.. word. I like the diamond story.. just because it ties everything together in a way. Plus, Quentin, by what I recall, never dwell'ed into mysticism in his movies- or rather supernatural stuff in that way, his movies are more grounded to a realistic, or blaxploitation/spaghetti western/Martin Scorsese-ish/Cohen brothers type of style... but, yea, it comes down to the viewer on this case.. or rather what's in the case. Makes for good debates, and conversation tho. lol

Who says he's only doing 3 more movies? I've heard him say he wants to do 10 movies and then retire, but he has 19 directing credits on IMDB. Even if you only count his solo-directed, "major" films, he's directed 9 films (8 if you count Kill Bill as one movie, which it was intended to be).
People who are offended by Tarintino's use of racial slurs are too young to have seen the genre(exploitation era)or Rus Meyers films.

I think it's because people don't necessarily clock the difference between real life and cinema. Because to them they are just watching a movie and not looking at it as an art form, they fail to understand the difference in how if is used. It's like seeing a naked person in the park and seeing a naked statue in a museum completely different but for those who are yet to understand art and it's relation to reality these to things may evoke the same reaction.

Whites, blacks, Asians, Egyptians, and the list goes on have all been or had slavery in their history... no one race has that only happened to.
