Thank you so much for speaking on this topic. I have been thinking about this topic a lot lately and I was soo pleasantly surprised to see you made a video on this. I want to get more involved in getting this sport to be more inclusive but I always feel so small and hopeless against the larger voices at play. Other than being inclusive myself, and doing what I can to make an inclusive environment when I’m on the ice and interacting with people, I’m not sure what to do. I think things will be forced to change sooner or later. We the people just need to never back down and be ourselves out there on and off the ice :)

I think that there are a lot of things much more important in this world than gender. People need to just accept others as they are and quit the labeling of people. We are all human beings and deserve to treat and be treated by others with respect, fairness and kindness. That is the lesson that this world needs to learn before it can rise to another level. You won't find that in the "elite" groups which are composed of people utilizing the exclusion principle as opposed to the inclusion principle. That is just the way the world is and why we have so many problems.

Change is slow sadly.

I always thought it was messed up how gendered figure skating is but I had no idea just how bad it is with what you described of the US, YIKES!
