Queensland has held a proclamation ceremony for King Charles III at Government House in Brisbane.
Governor Dr Jeannette Young and Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk attended the service proclaiming the state's new monarch after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

This is a unique event, up there with the proclamation of Queensland as a separate colony then State, and Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you Channel 7 for filming this event, in a very comprehensive way. Well done Channel 7 staff. We're so fortunate to have open government and many lines of appeal, and opportunity for debate in this State and Country.

People Mind are so short. How badly Charles treated Diana. Also surprised to see how first world countries who believed in merit not by birth you deserved all that you are deserving. This king/queen drama on 21st century not at all acceptable. Free breakfast/lunch/dinner at the cost of tax payer should be stopped.
