Being a fan of Conan and getting to see Josh Homme after his transformation from the ground breaking band called KYUSS was awesome.. good to feel the same after 20 long years and having moved away from US. Thing with the Queens is they've really evolved over time and, instead of trying to make the music that's popular, they've just made the music that they want to make. Every album is good despite them all being a bit different. I enjoy their newer stuff just as much as their older stuff and I think that's because it really is just art. They're not after the cash. They're just about making tunes that they like.

@@Bzorlan Nice man! I am glad to know that I am not alone.. Circus and the red sun are awesome albums.. have you tried Wretch ('91) or Sons of Kyuss (1990)? Sons of Kyuss was an extremely rare album and my roommate at that time (Sandeep Menon) was nuts about it.. this was way back early 2000s and I was living in Columbus, OH. He had a effin vinyl version.. from which I cut a 920 bps copy which I still have.. truly loved it to the core after a round of nice Afghani (if I remember it straight). Yeap then came the massive collab effort called dessert sessions.. then the QOTSA and whole lot of shebang.. Anything for a true music fan that I could dream off.. Those were the days my friend.. Glad to find another soul like me. Rock on.. Have tons of music and opinions that come by with it.. At 45 things slow down kids become more of a priority :-)

Theres like 30 different people whos been in that band at some point. Im glad Josh has managed to sort of solidify a lineup over the last couple of albums. Its gotta be easier having your musicians know more of the songs and stuff like that when theres not new people coming and going every 2 weeks anymore.

This is great stuff! And Josh somehow manages to make that hairstyle sexy as hell!

What a perfect song... My favorite QotSA songs are definitely the ones in this vein...relentless and sludgy, but with Josh's fey crooning. This song and Go With The Flow are top tier for me. I'm a big fan of anything with that wall of sound enveloping vibe. This song is just too cool.

When Justin Bieber saw this in his crib he knew one day he'd have Josh's hair cut.

Gene rocks, man! Since he has to be "compared" (for lack of a better word) with such drum titans as Grohl and Castillo, he's, not surprisingly tho' a bit unfairly, underrated.

This video is the best example of their perfect chemistry I've seen yet - their playing, their harmonizing ... he co-wrote most of their first three records, did heavy lifting in the vocals - it just ain't Queens without him, that old groovy-stoner-doom-punk sound just ain't there anymore. Dude could sing as well, he helps cover-up a lot of Josh's pitchy/flat notes.
