yehhh. i kinda say that now to people if i say somethnng and people don't 'get' what it is i'm getting at. it means nothing and everything at the same time. cos it's like , the drummer's saying it's not me screwin it up it's the bass.. he's cutting out on me when i need the fill in between the pre chorus riff and chorus and you explain the song and they don't get it so, fuck it, let's just keep playin it until 'it happens'. live till ya die. cos it used to be bitchin, wasting precious session time but now it's "whatever, don't fkn stress over it.. it's not like it's the end of the world, we can bin the pre chorus or just the whole fkn song, do a rewrite when i get home". musos and their egos. they just don't get that i am king of the world and everybody should stop worshippin allah 'it's a trap!' ackbar and jesus 'it's magic' christ. as for mohammed 'sheepshagger' ack ack ack-ack ack or the holy 'boo! i'm not here' ghost, fuck em all.. i am GOODDDDDDDDDD. er.. not really. just bitchin. [where's my meds?]

I think this is actually Mark Lanegan singing, at least on the studio recording. They do have fairly similar voices sometimes.

I miss Mark...his solo stuff and other projects before and after are fantastic but him and Josh are like a dynamic duo. Seriously, listen to Mark Lanegan's "Methamphetamine Blues" on his "Bubblegum" album. It's got Josh's guitar playing and it's one of the best songs I've ever heard.

In the Fade / Lyrics Cracks in the ceiling, crooked pictures in the hall Counting and breathing, I'm leaving here tomorrow They don't know, I'd never do you any good Laughing is easy, I would if I could Ain't gonna worry Just live 'til you die, I wanna drown With nowhere to fall into the arms of someone There's nothin' to save, and I know You live 'til you die I know (Live 'til you die) I know (Live 'til you die) I know Live 'til you die Losing all feeling, that I couldn't give away Counting and breathing, disappearing in the fade They don't know, I'd never do you any good Stopping and staying, I would if I could Ain't gonna worry Just live 'til you die, I wanna drown With nowhere to fall into the arms of someone There's nothin' to save, and I know You live 'til you die I know (Live 'til you die) I know (Live 'til you die) I know Live 'til you die Source: Musixmatch Songwriters: Josh Homme / Mark Lanegan In the Fade lyrics © Heavenly Songs, Ripplestick Music, Board Stiff Music Inc

Lanegan's gotta be 55-56 now? he was in a band in the early 80s! then again.. who gives a fuck? he can pump out a great vocal talent like he owns the world of gravelly voiced talent. bob stewart, er.. other gravelly voiced wannabes sit and worship at the throne of Lanegan, the King of the Stoned Voice! [actually, my voice goes gravelly - not like the mighty Lanegan, ofc - if i sing ABBA songs for about half an hour... dunno why it does that.. maybe cos singing rock/pop songs like the melodic vocal free for all from abba is so different than singing rock as if your bollox are hanging down by your knees? Mr Lanegan... may i bow.. wait... this video doesn't have Lanegan on it at all. WHERE'S THE SCREAMING TREES VIDEOS!?!?!?!
