Fuck, Song for the Deaf needs to come back to the regular set. It’s such a good fucking song, plus Mikey, as usual, NAILED the backing vocals

I loved this one of the best of their songs live but I so miss it saying "A song for the deaf, that is for you"

I was there, the fifth Queens gig I've been to. Every other was an album tour, and they were excellent. This gig was unreal. The entire show was fan service, playing all the best jams, and just having an immense time with the crowd. Terrible organisation, it was a two hour queue for a beer. I'm pretty sure that made it better, cos I just watched the whole damn thing instead of being twatted.

You see, how they all look at the right side of the stage? Troy gives them a signal. For lots of bands the drummer does this, but it would be less surprising if everybody turned around to face the rear of the stage

​@@Fritz-the-Brat No Jon does give the signal. He taps the hi-hat once, you can hear it in this and other performances. It's something he has brought over from his days in The Mars Volta.

there’s a hi-hat right before they’re going back to playing. it’s not that big of a deal if you know what to look/listen for.

Thanks for posting. I took my bro to this gig but we had to leave before the encore as he'd had a stroke 3 months prior to the gig and didn't have the strength to stay any longer after such a hot day. QOTSA and the rest of the bands were awesome shame the same can't be said about Festival Republic !

Was there, loved it, RTJ sound was sooo much better tho. Think QUOTSA toned it down to record the thing. Quietest rock gig I've seen.
