Brian said that he was in so much pain during this time. He had wounds that would not heal, all those tumors (which I forget there real name) and it was just hard for him to stand. Brian May said that Freddie would take a couple shots, drag himself up with the mic and sing. He literally died doing what he loved and this video makes me want to cry due to how brave of him to even make this video and looking as sick as he did. Freddie tried to hid it with make up and that’s also why it’s in black and white as well. We don’t get to see much of that anymore which is saddening tbh
@joe6096

They were leisions, not tumors. Tumors are what you have when you have cancer. Freddie had AIDS. Which destroys your immune system and your body deteriorates while you’re still alive.

He was so sick, and he knew his time was coming to an end, so he told the boys " I want to do as much as possible ", so they recorded at all hours of the day and night to accommodate how Freddie was feeling.This song is beautiful, but when you think of the circumstances, it makes it that much more special !!!

28 years ago, on 24th November, 1991, an angel was called home, and that angel was Queen's legendary frontman, singer, songwriter, multi- talented, and hero, Freddie Mercury.
Unique, insanely talented and surely the greatest showman ever !
When Freddie saying "I still love you," was really saying to the band (Queen), and to the fans of Queen, I love you, so carry on making music in my name. ❤💙 we love you to Freddie in 2024. You are a legend in my eyes.
Even at the lowest point in his life he fuckin slays at least half of the current music landscape, major talent, major loss, miss him terribly.

When I see musicians like Freddie Mercury, Johnny Cash, and David Bowie, among others, creating art up to the very end of their days, it becomes so clear to me that to an artist, the creation of art is life itself. This is not something true artists can shut off and wait until life is exactly as it should be before they choose to create. I feel inspired to keep creating when I see this, even more than I already do now, and I am so grateful for these artists and their work. What a gift to witness.

area3eventing Yes they were. I was watching a Brian May interview on RT and he was talking about how depressed he got, and driving and seeing a cliff and wondering if it would do, and realized he had people depending on him, and that that is not how Freddy would of approved of him doing. H went on and did what Freddy would have wanted - live and finsished his Phd and other passions. Deaky simply said Queen died with Freddy dying and walked away from it all. It was Freddy or nothing.
