@@CalebColesMusic Thank you for a fine reaction here. Queen always changed their song delivery, from studio to concert and from concert to concert. Their connection onstage was always simpatico. Here, at the end, when it might look as if they're just winging it - and they are, but only to a point - you'll see bassist John Deacon behind Freddie at the piano, and Deacon is paying exact attention to what Freddie is doing - while looking as if he's paying attention to nothing at all. They're all acutely tuned in to when the song is meant to wind down and end, 100%. Impeccable performers, every one of them.

@@janbarriault4494 The audience was pretty cold and Queen hadn't had that in some time (or after that show). See for example 'Love of my life', usually the audience would sing most of that, here Freddie says 'they don't know it" Brian answers 'that's alright' and Freddie sings the whole song better than ever. This show is so fantastic to me just because they had to work harder than usual to get the audience on their side, for the last time in their career. And they never worked so hard and had one of their best shows ever despite the audience.

Hey Caleb... Been watching your reactions & original performances for sometime now, having originally discovered you during my “find everyone’s first reaction to Dimash” journey...!!! I was up late as usual, coming from the heartland of the USA, when I got a suggestion for this Queen song, and at that time it had exactly 1-View...! I almost felt like I was sharing a live reaction with you...! I was a child of the 70’s & 80’s and Queen was just such a fresh new take on Stadium Rock, and I followed Freddie all the way to the end and beyond... I really enjoy your reactions, because you seem to mirror mine to a tee. I love and appreciate your spirit, and coming from a fellow believer, it’s refreshing to hear someone who actually isn’t judgmental, when commenting on topics or performers who may not be the most acceptable to the “Mainstream,”. That truly reveals your good heart, and your light is surely shining brightly my Brother...! This was definitely spontaneous, inspired by your pure enthusiasm and joy you show doing what you love to do, and by the way, your Dimash Cover’s are incredible, I love your interpretation’s and the fact that your doing it out of inspiration and as an homage to his God given and well rehearsed skills. I can tell you would understand when I say, I feel like God has given Dimash the “Anointing of David,” to reach right into peoples spirit and make them “feel” the true original purpose & power of all the good that music can be, and was intended for. I’m getting a little wordy, but I’m feeling inspired to share this with you, because I sense the same pureness of spirit, and that same anointing emanating from within you... So be encouraged, who would have thought of the reach and connections that are now possible, that a guy from Cincinnati, Ohio USA at 5:50 am (my time) could be touched by a guy in Australia, causing me to step out if my shell and connect with you... Great chatting, and I’m always looking forward to be notified of your New Content...😆

Freddie Mercury had one of the most recognisable voices in pop and rock history. But just how good was the frontman's vocal power? While Freddie's speaking voice fell in the baritone range, he delivered most songs in the tenor range. His known vocal extended from bass low F (F2) to soprano high F (F6).

I know everyone loves live performances. That said. I really wish somebody would tackle their albums / discography. Especially from 1973 to 1980. The mastery of sound engineering / mixing. Plus the interchanging vocals are amazing. Everyone is so focused on Fred. They expect to hear him. Consequently. That is all they do hear. Sometimes. I have even seen reactions to album cuts. Which Fred is not singing lead on at all, & reactors fail to notice!

I think one of the things I got from this performance is Freddie's range of genres of music he could sing. Yes, there was a range in bohemian rhapsody, obviously. But the combination of notes and the ways he sings them can be pulled out of a lot of other genres of music. He could have done anything with his voice and talent, but what he picked was absolutely perfect for him to put his voice, heart, and soul into. And I'm sure there is more across his other live songs. Under pressure as well.

He was actually trying to get the crowd to sing, which is what usually happens during this song. Evidently, they didn't know the words. The crowd at this show was famously low key. If you listen to the Milton Keynes performance, you will hear what I am talking about.

In 2016, a group of Austrian, Czech, and Swedish researchers conducted research about Freddie's voice, and while they couldn’t confirm the long-held belief that his range spanned four full octaves, they did discover that despite being known as a tenor, he was more likely a baritone. They also found that Freddie's vocal cords moved faster than most people’s. While a typical vibrato will fluctuate between 5.4 Hz and 6.9 Hz, Mercury’s was a massive 7.04 Hz. All in all, Freddie Mercury had one of the most powerful voices ever known.

I was at that concert. I'm from Montreal.I was 17 at the time. That show was mindblowing!!! They sounded better than on their albums!! I was also at the LiveAid concert, I'll never forget it and will hold on to my ticket ( part of it) forever. Each time I hear them, I get goosebumps . Wonderful era, so lucky to have been part of it!!!

It was really a blessing when I twice had the opportunity to see them live in concert in Vienna, Austria - I will never forget that extraordnary performance they gave. I always liked them as a school kid. And I even love them more than ever before. I miss Freddie, his talents, accurancy and awsome melodies. This year on November 24th it is already 30 years ago since he passed away. R.I.P. Your Majesty ...
