A documentary series about H.M. Queen Ingrid in six sections.
The first section is about the period 1910 to 1920 and tells us how the Bernadotte family comes to the throne in Sweden, and how the little princess, who later becomes Denmark's queen, comes to the world. Dramatic political upheavals in Europe give limited power to the monarchies that survive. Also in Scandinavia, the royal houses are shaken, but at the summer castle Sofiero, little princess Ingrid experiences only family life's idyll.

This series is absolutely superb!!! Thank you.....I have followed the Brtitish Royal family all my life and went to London for Royal weddings and the recent coronation. I've also visited the Scandanavian countries and seen the Royal Palaces etc and followed some of the early history and the vast connections, many through Queen Victoria of course, but so many others Thank you again Esther Melbourne Australia 🌏🌏🌏

So strange that they say there hasn't been a Swedish princess born since 1891. Princess Margaretha was born in 1899, Princess Martha was born in 1901 and Princess Astrid was born in 1905. The younger two girls are mothers of the kings of Norway and Belgium, so it's especially weird to say that as if they don't exist!

Thank you so much....I am so intrested in our royalties....
She was long tall and slender a cool drink of water, a fresh towel for the sauna, and steam. She had a divers figure. Still took swims in the harbour as far as I knew before dawn before morning. Ingrid always had the galley door propped open between cuisine courses. She was graciously accomplished in the kitchen. She poised as she cooked like a baker or ballerina dances. Kindest regard, Queen of Sweden DownEast Atlantic. RiP my swedish kitchen queen. She still had the figure. A swimmer.

It would have been nice to have English subtitles through the WHOLE video. Much of it has people speaking, and we have no idea what they're saying.

She speaks danish. Even though swedish was her native toungue. She learned danish to perfection. You couldn't hear she was born swedish.
