Not to mention that I believe she wanted to leave this world in Scotland so her subjects there could say goodbye to her at Balmoral and at St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh before her final services in Westminster Abbey in London and St. George Chapel in Windsor. BTW, on that day in September of 2022, Elizabeth II of Great Britain (and I of Scotland) became the first monarch of Scotland to actually die on Scottish soil since her distant ancestor James V, King of Scots in December, 1542. Ironically, Elizabeth II would be succeeded by Charles III at age 73- the oldest heir in British monarchical history to date while James V was succeeded by his only surviving legit child Mary at the age of six DAYS- the youngest heir in British monarchical history to date!

I am not a British Citizen or a Citizen of any of Britain's Commonwealth. However being 69 years old, I have followed the queen for most of my life. To me she was a women of integrity, a women of great wisdom, though a queen she was also so humble. I have always had great admiration for her. When it was announced in my country she had passed, I felt huge loss, and very empty, I believe it was because with her passing it seem like the last of great people of our time had gone, and we don't have any world leader now that equals her greatness.

@bernardfitzsimons6942 I didn't express that very well. When some people reach a certain age, an illogical feeling can arise that somehow they'll be there forever. When that person dies it is therefore a shock, even though it shouldn't be. It's all about the affection and esteem with which a person is viewed.

The loss of Prince Philip, the stress from the "duo" and her cancer took a strong part in her life, I remember seeing the queen arriving at the church, using a cane and looking behind for her prince, but he wasn't there l, her weight loss was extreme, and such thing in her age was dangerous. She and my late grandmother were born in the same year God bless the late queen and hope she gets some rest🌷🌷🌷🌷after all

It is sad that not everyone made it in time to say their goodbyes. But, she no doubt wanted to pass at Balmoral bc she felt safe in Scotland. God bless her. If reports are true and she suffered from bone cancer, her dedication through pain makes me love her all the more. Not ashamed to say i sobbed when we heard here in Canada she had died. The world was so quiet that morning, and here in Toronto, I felt the most profound stillness around 10 or 11 am ET, and she died I understand at 3:10 pm local (which would have been 10:10 am ET). Then those rainbows after she died 🌈 Incredible! ❤💜

We were very blessed when my grandpa died of cancer at home instead of the hospital, around the same time as her majesty. He was diagnosed with cancer in March 2022, and was gone by the August. We celebrated his birthday and then my family and I went on holiday. On the third day of our holiday, 10 days after his birthday we got word that my grandpa had passed away at 5:30 in the morning, my granny to whom he was married for 54 years was right by his side the whole way, so was my aunt. He passed away at home instead of hospital because he wanted to be at the place he loved with the people he loved.

What a beautiful, wonderful, awesome woman Queen Elizabeth' was 👑. I'm a proud, black Christian man who has lived in America all my life. But I've been a big fan of the British Royal family for years. I wish I could have met the queen 👑 in person. I would have been glad to bow my head, shake the queen's hand ✋. And say how happy i was to meet her. I had planned on visiting London and Paris back 🔙 in 1985. But changed my mind. I was moving, and couldn't afford to move. And make a trip like that at the same time. There may have been other times that I could have visited there. And I regret that I didn't send a sympathy card to the queen 👑. After she lost her beloved husband. Prince Philip, the Prince Consort, Duke of Edinburgh. Hopefully ill be able to visit in the not too distant future. And see, even if I don't personally meet. The newly crowned King Charles lll 👑. His wife, the newly crowned Queen Camilla 👑. And other members of the royal family. I've known of an old coworker if mine who moved to London. Shortly after my planned trip I wanted to take back in 1985. I think 💬🤔🙄🤨💭 that I can possibly live in London myself. Don't expect to ever do that. But I want to visit not just London. But also Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland. And historical sites such as Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge, etc. And I'd like to ride the subway, the red double decker buses 🚌🚐 in London, etc. God bless the new King Charles 👑,. His family, friends, etc. And the entire country of the UK. And other lands under the reign of the new king 👑.

As sad as it is it should be a celebration. She did her job and she did it well, which is not an easy thing to do. She lived through her sister dying, her mother, I knew after Phillip went and after these last couple years in the press she would go. She was probably more than ready. Thank you Queen Elizabeth, for your service and what you did for everyone and your people. Job well done, you will be remembered and admired for years and years and lifetimes ahead of all of us. I hope you get to rest peacefully.

For months beforehand she looked thinner and thinner. Her clothes were too big on her. When she couldn’t attend many of the platinum jubilee it became apparent there was something seriously wrong. Then when we saw her meeting Liz Truss at Balmoral I think we all knew what had been unsaid. That she had cancer. But we certainly didn’t expect her to die 2 or 3 days later. She was the only English monarch most of us have ever known. We still miss her.

In some way or another, Queen Elizabeth II impacted almost the entire human race from the time her uncle abdicated right up to her last breath. She wholly embodied Great Britain and The Commonwealth like no Royal before her, and probably like no Royal who will come after her. Whether you are in favor of the Monarchy or not, you have to admit that she really was an amazing woman.
