Queen Elizabeth II was almost fed a slug
Queen Elizabeth II was almost fed a slug. The Queen's former chef Darren McGrady once recounted an unpleasant incident when the Queen found a dead slug in her salad plate. According to him, Elizabeth favoured simple food. In the morning she drank tea and ate a bowl of plain oatmeal. But lunchtime she ate steamed fish or meat. She was completely indulgent, but she did not eat carbohydrates during the day, and the vegetables and fruits on her table were sure to be in season. Then one day a mishap occurred Elizabeth found a dead slug in her salad plate. So she tore out a page from the book of complaints and suggestions, put the mollusk on it and sent it to the kitchen with a note to the cook. - I found this in the salad, could you eat it?

" Could you eat it?" 😂😂
How in the world did that slug ended up in her salad. She’s the queen, and her food is always tested to be prepared in the best and healthiest way .

All of the palaces and royal residences ( Windsor Castle, Sandringham, BP, Kensington, etc) have gardens that much of what's cooked in the royal kitchens come from. So it's not that far of a cry to deduce that the slug may have gotten a ride on a leaf into the BP kitchen and the rest is history.😊
There is Such strong warmth of aura of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II now...R.I.P.❤❤❤❤
Omg her humour was brilliant 😆 i never knew
It took the chef ages to chase that slug down.
I bet those chefs got a serious talking to.
He is lucky he wasn't the chef to the Henry the 8th. It would have definitely been a different outcome 😂😂.
