As an Englishman I can say what totally made me tear up watching this entire procession was when HM QE 2nd entered Westminster Abbey to the choral music...it was like she was being welcomed home...she was made a monarch here and now she returned, relinquishing her monarchy, her crown, her office....she entered first, many years ago, as a woman and became a queen, and then here, entered again as a queen and became a woman. The profundity of that made me weep....more for the woman than the monarch. Born into a life of public service....

NO-ONE is allowed to walk on the tomb of The Unknown Warrior... so.. whilst its respectful in itself, it doesn't mean that they moved around it that one time. The Queen, Royal Family or whoever you are are not allowed to walk on it and most people wouldn't anyway. I have been to a memorial service there.

I was allowed to have a few days off college to recover from the Queen’s death and then I returned after the funeral not knowing I’ll become very ill 5 months later. I remember being in my hospital bed planning my funeral with just Woody.EXE and he signed my arrangements off, I was very happy he accepted it. Seeing the Woody.EXE 1st R signature today really hurts me knowing I could have died from my illness and Woody.EXE would have abdicated the throne immediately passing it down to my other Woody and my sister in 2023. 2023 was probably the most heartbreaking year in Woody.EXE’s reign and I can’t imagine the shock Wales would have been in if their Queen had passed away at 20. I’m a healthy 21 year old Queen now in 2024 and I’m continuing to do my duty. Warning; Don’t give me rubbish or hateful comments or you will be muted in my notifications. *This is a real event*

That occurs when we've finally found a being whose greatness is solely based upon what She is, and not only about what She does; such a Great Britain, which, through the means of the objects She applied into Her dignity, then comes to relate just with the wholeness of everything and of Her own self.

Since Elizabeth II died, there has been much publicity, not so much thought about why she matters, and why monarchy is helpful in general. Monarchy shouldn't be used as real-life soap opera, nor as mere material to fill space in the media. The achievement of the British monarchy should become clear in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important reason. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace". Of course King Charles III's first marriage was a tragic mistake; Prince Philip could be tactless; he & Elizabeth II made mistakes as parents. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the service they give, and for the difference the monarchy makes for the better, in the UK & the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century, or over world war, economic failure or loss of empire in the 20th. There will always be violence and political problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the huge, tangible power for peace and stability British monarchs are for everyone in Britain, the commonwealth (e.g. Canada & Australia) and for the world. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.

I can remember my 2009 Woodys grief going absolutely viral throughout Wales and the crowds told me “hope he gets better during this gut wrenching week” since my 2009 Woody adored the late Queen since she became ill. I didn’t think the Queen’s death and funeral would affect all 5 of us in a way it did and we’re still deeply saddened a year on. I never thought Woody.EXE could do a very moving tribute like this and all 5 of us are attending a memorial service for the Queen later today

TEARS = 2022 # Tears are the raindrops of the soul And there's one for all who die. They are the silent words of grief As they fall free from the eye. The shortest verse in the Bible Is the one where Jesus wept So, if you hold back tears, shed them When your pain is too harsh to accept. Tears are lovelier than a smile When they come from those you love As they seek relief from sadness When you're summoned from above. Tears are a love-mates humble gift When it's time to say goodbye Though the eyes are wet and swollen With time and patience they dry. By Tom Zart Most Published Poet On The Web

"SORROW" 2022 %% Sorrow is better than laughter For by grieving, we're improved. Blessed be all who morn Till from sadness they're removed. After death our souls shall fly Perhaps from star to star. Reaching our destination To find Heaven’s gate ajar. God made us able to cry Sorrow teaches us to fear. Those days we’re selfish and cruel When life is so short and dear. Time wipes tears from all faces Whose hearts are tuned to sorrow. Those that cry a thousand tears Shall be blessed by tomorrow. It matters not, how long we live More, how well we play our part. For the road to Heaven is always near As long as there's truth in our heart. By Tom Zart Most Published Poet On The Web

Hi, the expenses for funding the monarch is provided through what is known as a "Sovereign Grant" - this is public money paid to the monarch every year, to ensure their role as monarch and as head of state runs to order. The Sovereign Grant for the financial year 2022 - 2023 currently stands at £86.3 million. This money is used to fund all staffing, security, administration, travel expenses, special functions, etc. That money is paid for out of general income tax. The staff of the monarch pays income tax on their salaries, just like any other worker. Since 1993, the monarch and the heir to the throne both pay income tax and capital gains tax on all of their private incomes. Also the monarch and heir to the throne pay VAT (Value Added Tax) and also local rates (local taxes) - So yes, even the late Queen and now the new King pays income tax.

@@johnking5174 One extra point. The Sovereign Grant isn't taxpayers money. It is a percentage of the income of the private Crown Estate. The government keeps the balance, about £300 million a year.
