I wonder how the new basic quiddity dice can be added to regular Quarriors? I was thinking the light and dark creatures could be added to the game and have each player replace one or two of the old basic quidddity with the new ones, but since they made them bigger, it would be too easy to pick them out of the bag when you need them. Why would they do that??

Are the new light/dark quarriors still relevant if you ignore that part of them? I.e. Is queelzabub still an awesome cost 8 card if ignore any special things it would do to other light/dark cards?

It's almost like the cards in the previous boxes of quarriors need to be assigned a light/ dark/ neutral aspect and a standard discount if you use light and dark quiddity. I mean some of the creatures look obviously light and dark but you can put a token on them to show if they are light / dark or no token for neutral alignment. One thing would be to put them in sleeves and a black or white sticker showing it's light or dark. Keep drawing till you hit your light / dark minimum quotient for creatures and spells in the game. This was designed as a toolbox game. One thing I seem to see is that I think people have complained about having so many dice standard in the quarriors the reduction in dice for this and Marvel DM is a solution.

I don't understand why people are complaining about having too many dice, that's the whole reason this game exists, is to have too many dice! I love it!

I really like Quarriors, but this seems like it will be a lot of trial and error to mix with the other expansions. Does the rule book address the mixing of other expansion, or is it going to be more looking up on forums for house rules? It would be really interesting if they introduce Light and Dark Quests in the future.

Could you please review "Lord of the Rings: The Dice Building Game"? There are not a lot of reviews of it currently, and I am really wondering how it compares to Quarriors and Marvel Dice Masters. Thanks!

I have the Lord of the Rings: Dice building game. I have to say, it plays like a semi-cooperative game. Start with three basic cards. Sam, Frodo and Bill the Pony (Portal spell). As you meet the goals of location cards, you will go to the next. Placing more allies into the "wilds". The more allies you buy will give the main boss Sauron more army dice as well. No body plays as Sauron, he has auto rules. It is a nice game. Not much varieties with the cards. You have on later setup three artifacts (Spells) and six allies (Quarry). The allies are six double sided cards, using the same dice. Artifacts have four variants of each of the three artifact dice to use. The Semi-cooperative parts is when the active player has the one ring. He may cause corruption from Sauron's army to corrupt dice others have in play, making them unable to gain glory, like Quarriors. Glory can be spent to get rid of corrupted dice. Your main goal is to beat Sauron and gain a lot of Glory.

I am hoping they do a Quarriors version of Marvel Dice Masters. I like fantasy way more than X-Men, but I think the combat system in MDM is better than the "all attack" in Quarriors.

I think quarriors and the previous expansions are fantastic and I really can't wait to pick up dice masters - but there is something about this expansion that just doesn't feel right to me, almost like its a backward step. Introducing 2 different kinds of quiddity seems like a natural progression forward in theory (a bit like having the different energy types in dice masters) - but in practice this particular implementation feels like less of a game somehow.

i think this is a great game me and my husband have all the expansions thus far which there are total of like 4 now not including this new my husband came up with a rule to make the game a little longer every one starts off with the 25 points and when your opponent scores a creature it take the points from you. And if you score glory you add it back to your points. If it is a creature scoring the glory from its effect you can either add it to you total or take it from your opponent. Just something to make the game last a little longer.

Shame that the dice quality is as poor as the others. Can easily see in the video the paint already starting to come off the dice.

+Carlordau Just bought a brand new copy, can confirm that many of the dice had paint chipped off of them right out of the box. Shame, really.
