QUARANTINE IN KOREA // What I got from the Korean government (covid care package unboxing)

Had to do a 10-day quarantine after returning to Korea from the U.S., but all was made better by some FREE food from the Korean government! Let’s take a look at what I got 📦👀
NOTE: Once upon a time I believe most Korean citizens and long-term residents in home quarantine received a care package like this from the government. However, these days due to the rapid rise of COVID cases and people quarantining at home, I don’t believe this program has continued sadly.

    Congratulations! I love how the Korea government found a simple yet genius way to make it easier for people in quarantine and ensuring everyone has staples to get through it. (times have been hard for so many) Loved the craft kit as well. Blessings always.

    AHH!! I’m so glad to hear you got married! I hope everything that’s going on in your life is able to be worked out. And so glad you didn’t get Covid! 🥰 My travel question is: how did you get a month off from work? I know teachers normally get 10 winter vacation days, so I was curious about that. I also have no idea what location preference to put on my EPIK application. Are there any regions you’d recommend with relatively low pollution and access to nature/hiking?

  • @taylerwithane

    @taylerwithane

    2 жыл бұрын

    I was able to save the vacation days I didn’t use during summer vacation and use them for my winter one, plus I got an extra 5 for getting married 😊 As far as location goes, I’d say the more you go south, there tends to be less pollution (but it’s really a problem everywhere in Korea). Though I haven’t been to all regions in Korea, the ones I can recommend that I’ve been to that might fit your needs are Daegu, possibly Busan, and Jeju Island 😊

    @@taylerwithane I've been seeing fluctuations between 200,000 to 400,000 cases daily. And vaccine rates seem shy of 90%. Don't know what happened, but hopefully they can get it handled and under control.

    Thank you for posting!! 🤩 This was so satisfying to watch. There are some other KZreadrs who are Korean citizens, and they never got any of this when they were quarantining recently after a 2 month trip outside of Korea in the last couple of months. Do you know why they didn't get anything?? 😊

    Hi!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video 😄 to answer your question, it could be a few reasons. One, this video was actually shot over a month ago, so if they came into Korea closer to today’s date, they may have stopped the care packages by then. Another reason could be that the local government in their area may have not provided them or were more selective of who got them, but I’m not 100% sure.

  • @sulee166

    @sulee166

    2 жыл бұрын

    The reason is that some local governments have spent all their budgets related to quarantine, so they can no longer provide care packages to local residents.
