Sometime last year when we could go out, I walked into the waiting room of my local doctor. Three adults were all glued to their phones and then a miracle - a lady brought out a real book to read. I couldn't help but draw everyone's attention to it and remind them what a book was. Usually in those situations, I purposely start up conversations to stop people using their phones for kicks but to remind them that it really is rude to ignore all these people sitting next to them. My book collection is going nowhere and I have two on the small table next to me. No wonder people haven't a clue about history anymore as they really believe what they see on movies and the telly.
That was hilarious! So captures how everyone (must be) feeling! Especially love the grocery "sterilization"! Yup- we've all gotten a little lax- just can't seem to muster the same level of enthusiasm or anxiety anymore! @@theopkingdom3433 I'm really glad your system is working for you. I've discovered the beauty of 'click and collect' where you do your order online, they do your shopping for you and all you have to do is pull up at the supermarket and put the bags in. No going inside at all. Although when I went to collect my groceries a few days ago, the car park was absolutely full as if it was a regular Friday shopping day! It's as nothing has happened and everything is back to normal. No face masks, gloves nor social distancing and I live in a Regional town in Victoria, Australia where the laws were the strictest. The only reason they followed the restrictions in the first place was due to the possibility of getting fined but they got away with a lot. Now that the politicians have bowed down to public pressure, it's everyone do what you please. Although I admit to not going to the lengths of wiping down items, I can hear you sigh, I plan to stay nice and cosy in my home which is stocked full of the necessities such as alcohol, chocolate, snacks and my freezers barely shut. So I'm fine to stay put and let everyone else go out and risk their lives. I'm sure you could do with my vehicle. I drive a Fort Transit Motorhome so it could be another pantry and even have the fridge running! Stay safe and stay in!

Thanks for this fun video! During the raining scene, I could totally see how that could seem like adding insult to injury (feelings wise) for people to be already stuck inside for lockdown reasons and then really stuck inside with the weather. On the other side though, I kinda like rain. Especially warm rain in the summer when you can run outside on the back lawn and just take it in. Also, instead of looking cheery and sunny, it kinda lifts my spirits when there's rain. It's like, "Oh, it looks like the weather is sad too! I also have health problems that prevents me from working on a regular basis anyway but I've actually discovered some great things that will make my life easier when all this is eventually over (It's only just starting Cold and Flu Season in Australia). I don't mean to make you feel worse but just because the Northern hemisphere is going into Summer, we are just hitting our worse time. Due to living alone, I don't have to worry about anyone else seeing me in my pyjamas as my neighbours are used to it anyway. We are more adaptable but in some situations It has been tougher for us. We get told to go nowhere but who is going to help us out with our necessities? My pharmacy will only deliver medications once per month and if you need it more you either get stung a delivery fee or risk your life to get the items saving it! Go figure? I'm luckier than you as I do not require treatments except for pharmaceuticals. Despite my doctor being only a few blocks away from my home, he doesn't want me going there and we just have phone call appointments. I'm so glad for this 'click and collect' with the supermarkets. It maybe called something different for you but all I do is complete my order, pay for it and choose a time to pick it up from the car park of the supermarket. I never knew how great and convenient this was. I was in a rut recently when I stayed curled up in bed for just over a week. I have got over that now. It's always been hard to get people to understand what life is like for us on a usual basis but now I think they're beginning to get it while I chuckle away at them whinging and carrying on about sacrifices that don't come close to ours. Hang in there as you are definitely not alone. Stay safe and out of harm's way. 🇦🇺

We had an upper middle class man whinging on telly that he couldn't go on in life if he couldn't get a beer from the local pub! Does he think I care? I'm not complaining as I use the supermarket and bottleshop apps to pack all my groceries for me and all I do is drive to their Carpark and put them in my vehicle. I'm more stocked up with alcohol, chocolate, treats and some other slightly nutritious foods than I can ever remember. I live alone so I'm having the time of my life! Can't take too long, I'm in the middle of some online shopping as I've just finished the groceries despite it being 0600hrs. I love how you 'sterilize' your groceries Kim and really, who wouldn't want to put tape over their computer camera? No-one looks good on those things anyway. My neighbour keeps hers covered permanently. More shopping to do before I have a phone call appointment with my GP who is only a few blocks away. Maybe I'll sleep eventually today/night? What is it exactly??? 🇦🇺
