Great review and in depth video on the Quantum X!. I am pretty excited for the Quantum X myself. Cant wait to get one and do a review on my channel.

I applaud your video. You may not have all the lights and fancy cameras but you were very thorough about this vacuum. You basically had me sold, you should be a salesman, halfway through the video. My last thing to research is after purchase support. I’ve heard great things about Serena vacuums customer service, I hope for similar reports on this one, I really want one.

They should have made an electric hose option, maybe even compatible with the canister hose so you would use a Wessel Werk HEB160 like nozzle for it. A swivel elbow for the cleaner head would have been great too.

Great video! I’ve been very intrigued by this unique upright, and your video answered a lot of my questions, and offered a good, comprehensive demonstration. With the power head, is there a way to manually shut off the brushroll for hard floors? Does the brushroll stay off when it is upright? I want one!

Vac Tech thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. 😀 The powerhead cannot be shut off for hard floors, but the bristles are soft enough that they shouldn’t scratch the floors. The brushoff shuts off in the upright position. That is literally the only thing that I am not fond of with this machine. Everything else I love!

Do you have plans in doing a review on the filter queen majestic in the future?

It would be Awesome to see a side by side performance comparison with the Rainbow .

Great Review. What I would like to know is does the rollers clog up with hair? My biggest problem with Vacuum cleaners is after vacuuming , I have to clean the roller everytime. I have lots of cats and have a lot of problems with all the hair.

Do you still use it? Still love it a year later?

Are you only able to use the hose to clean up wet spills/pet messes or can you use the vacuum head itself? Also, now that you've had this for a year are you still as satisfied with it?

How did you get the power nozzle to work when the hose was attached?

Yes I will soon be making new videos with this machine. It is really as nice machine. I little but louder then the rainbow, but performance is great!

So how does it pick up? I would love to see you compare it to a rainbow, Hyla and Kirby. The flour under carpet tests are the best in my opinion. Just curious what it’s CFM rating is. Also, it doesn’t look like it holds enough water..have you had issues with that or have any complaints in general about this unit?

How far does the hose reach up the stairs ? I cant wait to see more demos of this.

Love, love your demo of the Quantum X vacuum! Just like you I own various series of the rainbow vacuum and the most latest one. I love my quantum x vac because it’s the very first upright that uses water to trap dust and more. Finally my search was realized. I had mine for more than a year now and I’ve recommended to my friends who have rainbow 🌈 vac. Now I have a problem… I was vacuuming last night and it swiveled left and right ;heard a snap and I can’t somehow snapped it back, Anyone out there who have an idea what I should do? I been searching since this morning for place to have it repaired, please help! Thanks 🙏

the sound of the motor reminds me of a lot of tank vacuums especially the original VAX 120 from late 70sand through the 80s and 90s i think after that they changed the motor ii own a couple of hoover aquamaster 3 in one machines that sound the same and few numatics (Henry George hetty etc ) its almost like it has the motor from the large quantum vac as well from what ive seen on line ive been trying to get one to the UK but they wont do shipment over as it would make the warrant null and void BOTHERED NO NOT AT ALL do they think im gonna expect them to come and repair i think not my rainbow has seen better days ans is ready to be dumped as everythin is falling apart now and its so hard to find someone who knows about them here they are not sold over anymore ( at least i think i know that could be telling fibs though so dont quote me on that lol) getting parts here is like gold dust id loveto buy the main quantum vac and now i really really want of these. think its time to try the company again it was a fantastic video and i love the vacuum now big thumbs up form a very chilly eastbourne UK xx

That turbo brush sucks lol it would drive me nuts. But other than that looks like a great machine. I love my kenmore progressive direct drive bagged vacuum. Tho.

Anyone do a particle counter test on one of these yet? I'd be curious to see how it does, considering they say there are no filters, so I would assume that also means no post-motor filter either. I know even the later model rainbow vacs added a hepa motor filter at some point.

The rainbow had to add the HEPA filter to get Asthma and Allergy friendly approved. But in reality they don't need it.

Brilliant video as always. I bet we won’t get this in the U.K. with our 900 watt maximum laws.

Great video. Can you review " Rug Doctor FlexClean All-In-One Floor Cleaner"? I want to know which all of the brands you test it out that cleans out the stains from carpets and doesn't leave a chunk of watery cleaner products behind. I seen so many carpet cleaner you tested out in the past, but seen many chunks of water coming from the sides of the machines. Thank you for answering back last time from Shark and Hoover reviews. :D

I used to have the rainbow vacuum. The differences is the water vacuum keep all dust in the water and it dont dust around the house. Or it can vacuum dust in your house.

Hello. How is this vacuum doing now and can you turn the powerhead of for hard floors?

hello this vacuum is still working perfectly fine, but sadly you cannot turn off the power head for hard floors but it does really good on the hard floors with the cleaner head on.

Where do you dump the dirty water once your done? I heard you’re not supposed to dump in your toilet. Your thoughts?

Sounds kinda loud, how does it compare to others

Could you use that like a hand vac like a Miele

Yes it does have a hose that you can attach to the back and use tools with.

Mine swivels around even without telescoping and is hurting my wrist trying to control movement. Does your turn and swivel just trying to do regular vacuuming?

It does have a slight movement down in the cleaner head. Just make sure that the telescopic wand is locked as far down as it can go so it locked the head to the main unit.

What vacuum do you recommend for someone with 4 dogs, hardwood floors & Multiple Sclerosis (limited lifting restrictions)?

You can not but the bristles are soft enough to not scratch the flooring.

Does this unit hold as much water as the rainbow. If less does the mean I’ll be dumping the canister more?

That's my concern too as the Rainbow can hold up to an American gallon (short of 4 Litres) of water.

Kode, I'm a collector as well, I have a rainbow e series, but the Quantam X is very intriguing to me... do you still love it after owning it for a while? Should I buy one even though I already have 50 machines? 😁😂 did you get yours from Amazon or direct from Quantam?

@@kode1996 THanks Kode... you are like the only one on here who has a video of it so far so I really appreciate that! You did well to get the blue one instead of that crazy pink color lol. Do you have to clean the separator as well each time you use it like with a Rainbow? I never use my Rainbow because I hate putting it together, but I understand the benefits of water filtration, so this really does appear to be the best of both worlds.

@@Aleroluver thank you. I love the cobalt blue. I haven't had to clean the separator just the area around it to wipe off the hair that gets caught up there. The rainbow is a hassle to use. This is a little bit easier.

I’d love to see some up close stuff with this esp how the separator and such works I’m sure it’s just like a rainbow but my thing is what happens when that water hits the separator? Does it suck the water in? Or does it actually keep it out I’ve over filled a rainbow some years ago while shampooing I heard thunk and the motor was running slow I though oh crap 😂😂 I’ve done it now lol

I will make some videos shortly of this machine. No water has been pulled through with the machine in its Lowe’s position. I have also overfilled the rainbow and it did no harm surprisingly.

Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing more videos like Quantum vs Rainbow. How many times have you had to change the water after 1 vacuuming? Are there some things that is not recommended to pick up because of the water? Where is this made?

@@khalafhaddadin4578 well the rainbow is 80 cfm and so is the quantum X. The rainbow hose and powernozzle leak airflow, the quantum has one inlet on the front and on each side. So I know it performs well.

Need a place to store the power cord, also the power cord is too short. Oh, and how do you open those damn perfume bottles that came with the machine?

You needed to dust behind the TV

i'm not getting it. is the water mainly for filtering the dust so it doesn't get back on the carpet from the out flow? how does water in the canister actually help w/the original pick up on the floors? and now you can't just put your vac away you have to rinse your canister every time you use it? umm i'm not getting it ;-)

The machine has a separator which acts like a hurricane on the inside of the water basin, so any of the dust, hair and dirt that it pulls into the water basin gets trapped in the water. Therefore the water is the main and only filtered. No dirt or anything gets pulled through the separator, because the separator spins at 17,000 rotations per minute no water or dirt can make it through. After each cleaning you dump out the dirty water into the toilet or outside preferably. You rinse out the top and bottom of the Basin, wipe around the top of the motor housing area. That's all you have to do, you just leave the water basin on a towel to dry. Once dry, you can put it back on the machine until your next use. I hope I was able to answer some of your questions. 🙂

That is not sound of motor dying. That’s the sound of the separator keeping water out of the motor. No water was spit out or pulled through the motor.

It should be a bypass motor anyway, so water shouldn't hit the windings. This machine probably uses the same motor as the Quantum canister and possibly the Sirena. The power is probably on par with or slightly below that of the Rainbow. I say below because of the efficiency and lifespan of the brushed universal in Quantum versus Rainbow's switched reluctance brushless design.

Poorly constructed. This vacuum has great suction and the water filter is excellent, but the design is poor. There is nowhere to put the attachments, including the cord. After the first couple of uses the bolt kept falling out of the handle. No matter how you tighten it, the machine almost falls apart. The hose doesn't stay in the opening and falls out while in use. Also this is the loudest vacuum I've ever seen. My shop vac is quieter. Forget using it a night. You'll wake the whole family. Quantum really needs to upgrade the model because it does a good job, a real pain to use. At 400.00 it could be better.

Only thing is that you forgot to show how to take apart the receptacle that holds the water. It has to be removed and taken apart to properly pour out the water and needs to be cleaned after each use. Otherwise great job.
