Thanks for this video. Quantum's advertising hype clearly is exaggerated, which you proved here. I bought into the hype and can give you a "one year later" follow-up experience: I loved the Quantum when I got it 9/2021. Like you said, water filtration really is a great system to keep the air clean. But the Q is sooooo heavy I can't carry it upstairs, where my carpet is, so I lost a lot of functionality. Can't use it on stairs as neither the hose attachment nor cord is long enough, and the vacuum is too unstable to put at the top of the stairs. More loss of use 😔 The rubber piece that holds the hose attachment cover when you open it broke off after 2 weeks. No big deal .... just meant I had to set it down. But I can't ever get the hose attachment cover off anyway. It's wayyyyy too tight. So, more functionality is lost since I can't use any attachments. Oh...and I only used Quantum's fragrances, and the water basin is so terribly stained and pittted from them. Stuck with a very limited use, heavy vacuum not worth the money. Got the Sirena water filtration canister vacuum a few months ago, and it's been great. It's SO much cheaper than Rainbow and so versatile all over. It's not even very heavy to carry upstairs as long as the water basin isn't in it. It way outperforms the Quantum. Also has a backup HEPA filter at the exhaust to double ensure purified air. A few weeks ago, I also got the Shark Stratos Ultralight Corded Stick Vacuum HZ3002 for a steal to do stairs and light everyday cleaning in between the Sirena sessions. Have you looked at the newer Stratos line? Said to be the best Shark product line ever, and I believe it. Mine has the most AMAZING suction! The dirt cup on the stick vac is very small, but the regular Stratos upright has a large one. Quantum is on the market for sale...if I can even find a buyer. If I had it all to do over again, I would have gotten the Shark Stratos upright last fall instead of the Sirena only because of the lower cost and convenience. Love my Sirena, but I think performance-wise, Sirena and Stratos are equal. The biggest benefit of Sirena IS the water filtration factor. Glad to see you have multiple vacuums like I do 🤣 My husband thinks I am nuts 🤣

I like the way the Quantum cleansing. True, there are limitations as you've listed. Mine lives upstairs. I don't like how the black plastic piece inside the basin gets so dirty and takes multiple rinsings to clean. If not cleaned well it will smell like crazy. I had to use warranty twice for things on it. No issues, other than aggravation with warranty and replacements. I use it for a deep clean. The suction is intense but it is heavy and the intense suction makes it hard to maneuver. I think an upgraded one would be great.

@South Carolina's Barber thank you for the quick reply! I'll subscribe to your channel, and if you ever try the Stratos out, I will watch for any videos. Your "neighbor in Tennessee" 😊

@Mary Bright I appreciate it. I'm not in the market for a new vacuum, but will post if I do. I did pick up a cheap stick vacuum from Amazon recently. I could do a video on that. We're in Sevierville quite often.

The Sirena looks like a cool machine but unlike the Rainbow, it doesn't have a long life motor that can be serviced. When something on the motor goes you have to replace the whole motor. On the Rainbow, if a bearing goes or fan or something else goes, the motor can be disassembled and the parts replaced reducing overall waste. The Quantum Vac (both canister and upright), Sirena, ProAqua, Ocean Blue, Great Vacs' Prolux CTX and others use the same motor. We'll have to see what happens in ten years' time. Rexair's Rainbow system has been known to provide at least a 30 year life time and there are still some functioning 80+ year old Rexair Model B and C machines (think 1930s Rainbow) still working perfectly today.

The horrible noise is from the low quality brushed motor. It will rapidly get worse and produce tons of ozone gas that causes chest pain.
