Quantum Reality and the Spiritual Mind, Lothar Schäfer

www.scienceandnonduality.com/
The Spiritual Mind is a mind that can search for truths in the non-empirical background
of the universe. The phenomena of quantum physics show that such a background exists, which doesn't consist of material things, but of non-material forms or patterns of information. These forms are real, even though they are invisible, because they have the potential to act on us. They form a realm of potentiality in the background of the visible reality and all empirical things and concepts are emanations out of this realm. There are indications that the forms in the realm of potentiality are contiguous and mind-like, like the thoughts in our mind. Thus, the background of the universe now appears as an indivisible wholeness, and consciousness is a cosmic property that is mystically connected with our mind.
LOTHAR SCHÄFER, PH.D.
Professor of Physical Chemistry (emeritus) at the University of Arkansas
Lothar Schäfer is a Distinguished Professor of Physical Chemistry (emeritus) at the University of Arkansas. His research in the areas of Physical Chemistry, Electron Diffraction, Applied Quantum Chemistry, and Computational Chemistry led his team to develop the first real-time gas electron diffraction instrument in which diffraction data are recorded on-line, enabling the first pulsed-beam, Time-Resolved Electron Diffraction studies of laser-excited molecules. Additionally, they performed the first quantum chemical geometry determinations of peptide molecules, predicting structural trends in proteins a decade before they were experimentally observed. He is the author of the book, "In Search of Divine Reality - Science as a Source of Inspiration which has been translated in Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Since 1998, Dr. Schaffer has given more than 160 public lectures in the US and abroad. He has been a guest on CUNY-TV and Chopra radio.

Interesting how there can be so many perspectives of perception. For example, "Is the glass half full or half empty. The perception of the glass half full, is a favoured perception over the glass that appears half empty. Interesting why that is so. It seems as though that the majority of minds would wish to perceive the glass in the way of it being half full, as oppose to perceiving the glass as half empty. It seems that collectively, there is fear of emptiness, which perhaps is a reflection of our immorality. Or to put it another another way the very perception of emptiness, is somehow a threat to the collective Human psyche, because the true nature of emptiness has not been understood scientifically or know through the full experiencing of emptiness itself. Because the true nature of everything is emptiness and is the source of everything including ourselves. Then this would suggest that humanity is collectively creating reality and the world that we live in, out of a fear of true reality. But then if everything is nothing then there can be no humanity that can do or has ever done anything. This would suggest that all there is, is nothing pretending to be something. So there is no glass that is half full or half empty, there just appears to be a glass that is half full or half empty. So the perception of the glass in either way is just a perception. Nothing pretending to be something that is perceiving another apparent something which it calls a glass. And so because nothing believes that it is something, it then perceives something else as an object that is separate and somehow outside of itself. The subject trying to understand and know itself in relationship to the object. And out of that perception a story of reality gets created. Is the glass half full or half empty? And because the story can only exist out of the sense of being separate from everything , the story will always be about trying to get something that has been lost or mislaid somewhere. And so that energy will always be looking for ways in which it can return to itself. Because it is no longer inside itself, and believes that it is separate, it then looks outside of itself in ways in which it believes it can become whole again. In other words within that separate reality in which it believes it is living in, it would seem to prefers to see the glass as half full rather then to see glass as half empty, if given the choice of the two perceptions.

I am no expert on physics, but what I am hearing from this gentlemen and from his interview with Eckhart Tolle as well, and from other countless "proofs" like this: "because there are things invisible and cannot be explained by science, therefore, it's God" Look back to our ancient ancestors and you'll see the same damn explanation time and time again. The thunderstorms were God, the lighting was God, anything that they did not understand was God. No one knows, period. That's why I am humbly going to what until I am on my death bed to find out who or what God is, if there even is one. And even then, medical science has proven that the body organs die off first, then the brain dies off. Something like 10-15 minutes, maybe less, of your life goes flashing by, memories, loved ones, etc. This is what is refereed as, "the tunnel of light" or "heaven" Different people yes, with different backgrounds, social status, but, its the same story. For now, I'll let the "mystery" be. Science, REAL science, is indiscriminate and does choose sides, making us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The best that we can hope for humankind is to remain humble and empathetic towards all creatures of the earth. I strongly suggest listening to Carl Sagan. Too much of this kind of Deepak Chopra fluff is out there.

I used to be in the same boat, but once you open your mind too the possibility of a spiritual reality (law of one, law of attraction), it becomes more real than "reality".
