Loved this video. I was so unsure if I could put my quail eggs in larger tray. I have the Nurtureright 360 and was excited to see you used it and the tray like I have. I out my eggs in my Nurtureright. This is my first attempt. 🤞

I’m thinking of purchasing the nurture right, are you able to get more than 22 quail eggs in it? We bought a cheap incubator and today is day 18, nothing is happening.

Hi Ellen if you have Coturnix quail the earlier they will lay is 8 weeks. Although if they are kept in a colder area it could take longer as they conserve their energy to keep warm

Great video. Just getting started on this journey. Can you tell me, if the brooder and cage are two different types of housing? How long do they stay in the brooder and then move to the cage? I have chickens and they lay really well for two or three years and then slow way down, but by then they are part of the family. Lap chickens if there is such a thing. How long do quail lay? Everyone seems to "rotate" their flock, Breeding and adding constantly? And what if I don't want to eat the older ones? Help!

Great question and honestly quail are like mini chickens. They also only lay for 1-2 years so you will want to switch out. We usually let them lay and then harvest!

I was curios myself, I'm in SE Iowa and I'm still looking into my options of breeding or simply harvesting every 11/2 years. Would you happen to know of any layouts that would help keep then comfortable in the winter.

There's a lot of English stuff that us Americans (and the rest of the world) do that doesn't make sense to anyone speaking Latin. Luckily, lots of people don't speak or study Latin so it's not weird to us. 🤷‍♀️
