It sounds weird, but my interest in anabolics lead me to finding his videos and seeing his body transformed over the years. That somehow peaked my interest in going to the gym and stopped by one after work. Now after 2 and a half years, I look great, feel great and more confident than ever. Life couldnt be better. It also affected my performance at work which landed me a big step promotion. Its weird how people at work treat you differently after some gym gains. That promotion more than doubled my salary and allows me and my girl to travel and explore comfortably. Ive wrote this a few times under past videos but when I think back and break it down, weirdly, the success Ive had in my life the past 2 years all started from watching one of Dereks videos. Talk about butterfly effect.

I started experiencing hair loss as soon as like 17 or 18 years old, and it got so much worse when I turned like 20. For a year, I lived with this dire situation. But at 21 I started using minoxidil, and it’s been around 2 and half months that I’m using it. It definitely changed my hair density and is bringing back my dead zones to life. I think in the next 3 months it’s gonna be so much better. I’m planning to buy one of these derma pens as soon as possible. Derek was one of my big motivators to start this treatment. I thought there would be no way other than hair transplant to bring back your hair, especially those dead zones. But I was wrong. Since I have kind of a baby face, my hair was an awkward contrast to my face. Now I’m getting that balance back. I may even become a model someday.😂

Hi Derek, I have bought the Intelligent Dermapen, it works great! One question: I have used it on my hairline and I started off trying the 0.75mm setting, I have noticed satisfactory Erythema whilst using this but I have also noticed many specs/droplets of blood on my scalp (mainly in the middle of my hairline). I have heard that microneedling too aggressively can cause fibrosis of the scalp which inhibits hair regrowth and reduces the susceptibility of potential transplanted hair, obviously these are things that I would like to avoid. So, what should I do? Should I stay at 0.75mm due to this irritation or should I continue up to 1.5mm? Best, Kane.

I have you tried the foam? The liquid can make things very greasy. Rosemary's oil is considered to be as effective as 2% minoxodil. (Please do your own research). Add too a carrier oil and apply topically. Minoxodil has 24 life expectancy in your system. Try apply only at night, get yourself some silk do-rags also.. not really necessary, and you will look silly, but it will stop you hyper focusing on your hair..

If you are suffering from androgenic hair loss, no natural solutions will fix it. It you just want better hair, then I think the most effective natural thing that actually works (most are bs) is oral castor oil 1-2mg, that seems to help overall hair growth. It depends on your goal. Using micro-needling is somewhat effective on its own as well, not nearly as effective as when paired with minoxidil, but it will still help even by itself compared to doing nothing. So: *Castor oil oral *Saw Palmetto (weak 5ar inhibitor, but probably better than none) *derma-pen *biotin and other vitamins that you may be deficient in this is definitely better than nothing by a solid amount, though 5ar inhibitors like even .25mg of finasteride every other day will be more powerful than all that at stopping hair loss and increasing hair density, however this is probably the best natural stack that actually works, a lot of people say Rosemary oil and random oils, they might improve texture, but everything in this stack will actually increase density for sure. I still recommend finasteride or dutasteride if you are suffering androgenic hair loss (almost everyone will, even women btw), however this is the best natural stack that I am aware of that has some literature proving the efficacy of these items, and even women and children should be able to take these without any real health risks (castor oil is a laxative, but most people are ok at 1mg)

I figured id do the 3 month cycle, check progress, then add microneedling. I am using the intelligent brand minoxidil as well! @@isloo5978 As soon as i use even a little bit of creatine like 3-4 g my hair falls out like crazy, many time more than normal and it goes back to normal fast after i stop. I have tried many times over several decades. I wish i could use it, i get so many benefits from using it besides the bad ultra shedding. Some of us just get that side from plain old creatine. Just to be clear you mean 10 grams i assume and not 10mg. I always trying to switch up and develop my health, so i think it is time to try it soon again to see if i can get away with using it.

@@timothymarchant It is really annoying we can not use it, it makes working out feel so much better and the gains comes much easier also. I recently tried adding a daily dose of 3-5g beta-alanine and the same massive shedding started to happen just like with creatine. I hate that all the best pre workout substances do not agree with me. If i ever get bald enough to give up on my hair as an really old dude, i will be looking forward to at least be able to get some easier gains in my old bald age. I wish i could figure out some kind of biochemistry hack to be able to use it without the shedding sides, but i have tried to find one for decades and with no result, even though i have upgraded my health massively over the years. Still creatine is just hair kryptonite for me.

Dear MPMD, Do you take minoxidil now? If not, is microneedling still beneficial without using minoxidil?

Many many studies on depth and frequency, no solid protocol yet, 0.6mm once a week has shown significant results as well. 1.5 is pretty deep and I worry about healing in just one week. The study was with rolling, which as Derek even mentioned might result actually in not applying fully thus not really going at 1.5mm versus with a needle where its pretty much guaranteed. Not negating it, just saying be cautious as the study with a roller versus using a dermapen is not apples to apples.

As someone who was using a dermaroller before buying a dermapen I can assure that the penetration of 1.5 mm dearmaroller needles isn't 1.5 mm. Because even with dermapen set to 1 mm you can feel much greater pain. So yeah, 1.25 mm is as high as I'd go with a dermapen.
