    When you add a level to a tower block do you gain additional people for the new top floor, or is only the tile showing the one that provides people? Ie if my 3 level tower block has 1 person on the first level, 2 on the 2nd and 1 on the 3rd floor, do I have 4 people I can assign or just 1?Great job as usual!

  • @WatchItPlayed

    @WatchItPlayed

    +Lloyd Crosby Each tile you place gives you the pictured resources (even if it's going on top of another tile). So in your example, yep, you'd have 4.

    Hi Rodney. I just ordered this game so I'm revisiting your excellent tutorial video. Just one question I had. Do the public service buildings give you the points on the top left even if they aren't activated? The activation only allows the further scoring of building per district? I thought that might be the case because it seems the item in the top left, usually resources or residents, you get straight away. But then I thought if the building is removed before scoring because it's not activated then you wouldn't score anything. Wow this question rambled on for longer than I expected! Well done if you read this far. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @WatchItPlayed

    @WatchItPlayed

    6 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for checking out the video! The public service buildings will only grant points if they are activated at the end of the game. Unlike the regular buildings, these do not provide their "benefit" right away.

    Same number of empty spaces? The final tie breaker should always be a dance off.

  • @c.cooper2877

    I note the exception: Sea Dracula, where a dance off is used as the main mechanic in the game and thus would not be an interesting tie breaker.

    I'm confused: on page 2 of the classic rules, in the set-up of the game, it is mentionned that "In a 3-player game , do not TURN (NOT REMOVE, emphases mine) the buildings marked with a 4". Same logic for 2 players with the tiles 3/4 and 4. To me it makes more sens to still have them, but un-identified; so that you still have available tiles even with all the previous architects placed; only you're buying blind. Was there a reprint of the rules that mention to remove them?

  • @WatchItPlayed

    @WatchItPlayed

    7 жыл бұрын

    This was a slightly confusing aspect to the rules. You are not allowed to collect the face down tiles. So, for me, it has always been easier to remove them, so it is clear that they are not in play. This was something I brought up on BGG with the designer: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1539805/wait-can-you-collect-face-down-buildings - hope that helps!

    Based on the stacking rules, would you be able to place a tower on any board space if the #1 architect was used, since it is the first floor on any space?

  • @WatchItPlayed

    You can re-allocate your Resources on your Buildings freely and with no limitation at any time during the game (Inhabitants and Energy Units). Only at the end of the game must you decide how you want to allocate them for good in order to maximize your VPs before the scoring begins.
