    Mike, Same here. Invaluable for getting away from the perfect tone and spacing of my app to real-life QSO's. I'm 15 weeks into learning CW and just started to be able to copy at about 16 wpm.

    The antenna is a G5RV (mini). It is a shortened dipole with a 5m length of ladder line that acts as part of the antenna. The antenna works on 40m through to 10m with a tuner, 73

    New to CW here, actually not entirely done learning the whole thing. But I must admit I'm a little confused as to the usage of K, SK, BK, are these all the same?

  • @vk2ter

    @vk2ter

    4 ай бұрын

    The break “K” is used when any station can reply, so it is usually sent at the end of a CQ call / call to any station. The break “BK” is used when you are in a QSO and only the other station in the QSO should reply. The break “SK” means “end of transmission” and it is used in the last over when signing off. Some operators may use the breaks differently or not at all. Hope this helps, 73

    Hi James. I enjoyed another of your activations. Watching your antenna setup was helpful. I’ve used a drive-on mount and a spike for the mast, but hadn’t considered lashing it to a picnic table. Do you recognize all of those operators, or do you have a callsign database? TNX es 73 de David AE4LH.

    Thank you David, the picnic table provides a great support for the telescopic mast. Several of the callers are regulars so I know them by name. But I am also using an electronic log on my phone (off camera) which provides the names for new callers or those I do not recognise, 73
