I saw this years ago and never managed to find it again. Utterly deranged, insanely exciting performance. Joey was an insane genius of a drummer. And in all the warzone chaos, Lanegan is soo cool. Imagine being at that gig, Cant put into words how brilliant that performance was

Joey Castillo is a beast, he was bringing a whole different vibe to QOTSA sound. Jon Theodore is a great drummer too, loved his stuff with The Mars Volta but Castillo's sound was just perfect for QOTSA!

He sped the intro up like crazy, even threw Josh Homme off for a couple of seconds. That sounded like total ass. Rest of the song was killer though.

@@torgejh9189he was the new drummer. He even said himself it took a few years to get all the songs down. Grohl was able to compose the song so to speak during deaf. It’s harder to cover a song.

Totally bad ass rock and roll. ‘Life’s a study in dying’ - one of the great rock and roll lines. Truth.

This is just insanely great. Joey Castillo is the greatest QOTSA drummer. The sheer violence and insanity on show here is magnificent. Lanegan is a bastion of cool. Just Brilliant from the wholw band

I may sound crazy but I love the rushed drum fills and the way too fast beat of the song played by Joey than when Dave played live shows with. Not sure why. It doesn't even sound logical to myself.

It's the absolute BEST, just adds so much energy to their songs. And songs like this that are already manic as fuck only get better with more energy... This is easily my favorite version this song, it never fails to get me going. And it's easily in my top 5 for this band, if not #1.

This band can defy gravity....absolutely mind blowing on every musical level. Brilliant!!!!!

This is their best ever version.

The new album is great, one of their best. The lineup now are brilliant but this is my favourite period for queens. The sound is so dirty, so brutal, so nasty. How a rock band should sound. RIP Mark Lanegan . What a voice.

saw QOTSA in wolverhampton in 2002 and partway through this song i caught Joey's eye and begged for a drumstick, , ,sure enough at the end he threw it to me . . .one of the best gigs i've ever been to....and thats after seeing them support ACDC in 2001 and thinking they were the biggest pile of shite ever. . .still got the stick though
