Don't care what anyone says, Josh Homme is one the greatest guitarists in rock n roll.

I think he's a better song writer than he is a guitar player, but he is definitely up there as far as guitar playing goes.

+Pierce Love he is on par with Hendrix but darker with it,.there is not many rock guys in this day and age that can riff make an A minor pent as beautiful as he does here, I wish they would go back to this sound!

In terms of note selection, I totally agree.
2:56 Mark Lanegan: "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"
And off goes Lanegan. haha.

Love Lanegan, brilliant musicia, he's never looking for centre stage and has worked with so many great bands/people. His album Blues Funeral was brilliant even though it was reminiscent of Sympathy with the Devil slowed right down.
By far the best QOTSA song they made. The beast itself.
My favorite Queens song with my favorite lineup. It's too bad Josh is more comfortable singing now, Mark Lanegan and Nick Oliveri added a lot to that band...

Nick had to stop DV armed hostage cop showdowns spun into space on gack, repeatedly. Long Slow Goodbye is about him. I was there when Josh brought him up 1st time in a decade. Way cool.

Too bad Mark is dead now. 😢
This is so fucking amazing, mind blowing. They should do a jazz tour or something and invite all the old members for tripping!

Or back Iggy Pop and perform Bowie's 2 greatest albums in tribute shortly after his death. Oh wait. That was mindblowing.

That was the best live version of God Is In The Radio I have ever seen - and I don't care about the crowd - gives you the live atmosphere that we all wanted to be in.

I dont begrudge people in the audience, QotSA fans like us, expressing their joy, whatsoever. This could use a soundboard release too though.
Reminds me of live You've Got A Killer Scene There, Man where Josh take it down, uses audience alone for rhythm, solos on top. Best run in rock music to me, and certainly favorite QotSA moment. Video is one he's wearing a red flannel in.
Lanegan is a fucking legend
Best version of one of their best songs. Fucking immense!
3:00 on is str8 fire.
TANK YOU
FUckin' awesome.. I don't know what would have i done if i was there..."untill my head explodes..."
the album was coming out so they played the studio version

Yeah they outgrew that venue. Last couple times (Clockwork, backing Iggy for Bowies albums) we at Opera house right?
wow, that breakdown
Hot. Rod.
@McMakisha Hell yeah
yeah, but it's just 2 solo's and in between them, it's all improv, the whole band gets into the improv so it's rather a musical composition than just a never-ending guitar solo, this song gives me goosebumps
so fucking awesome
I have that DVD
I'm pretty sure this hasn't been re-released, with that in mind anything advertised to be HD is most likely scaled or in "Heavy Duty" as this one.
watch the bonus footage with the commentary, they shred lanegan so much haha
why didn't they play this more often? such a banger

I love that they are playing it on this most recent tour
@Maquiladora83 me to i think that most of them dont even know the band
@Maquiladora95 really didnt knew that and im also a radiohead fan
Tasty
@Maquiladora83 what so that you at home can watch them on the net? they were there, you weren't. hard luck
What's weird is the audio switches before the solos
I have this DVD at home,is there any better quality vid?Something that is remastered?
I think fuckyeah guy was also in houston last month
fuckyeah 10 minutes
Why is Mark so quick to get off the stage?

He's 1) always leaving when he's done singing. 2) I He leaves at the first scent of a camera - or he did for a long time, sobriety and age and an impressive solo career appear to have mellowed him out some, and 3) he said in an interview that the whole thing of walking out onstage and then leaving after he has finished performing has always felt really awkward and uncomfortable for him, in general, and it's amplified if you're singing for a song or three for another band - something Mark does a lot - vs when he's playing solo shows. He also really hates all that light show shit, he's got crappy eyesight and I've heard him yell "LIGHTS!" if whomever is doing lights at the venue he's playing starts getting fancy. 4) He's also said when he's singing, it's hard enough to be in his moment, so don't expect him to be in yours - that's your responsibility. He doesn't interact with the audience much.

@@TabethaAurochs I thought they said he jumped in a cab-as per those days....
@Maquiladora83 actually, that was annoying, sorry
That cut on the video wasn't nice... not because of the cut but because of the lack of patience... though I guess you know what you were doing
I'm sorry but I really think that that's just tour band abstinence talking.
@kodamarciano theres no tangled up in a plaid on this dvd monte di mierda
@Maquiladora83 Did you knew that a "maquiladora" is the name for an american industry set on mexican soil using cheap mexican workers.
People are strange
Love Josh Homme, love Mark Lanegan and Dave Grohl is on the drums where he should have remained I feel. Not a fan of DG, so syrupy and "nice".
