This is perhaps my favourite version of this song, I just absolutely adore how much heavier and grittier this version is mixed in with that mysterious vibe that the keyboard adds making this version sound like it came from Rated R instead of Songs for the deaf.

4:50 onwards = incredible. This kind of stuff makes me wonder how much the doors is an influence to Queens of the Stone Age. They also covered "not to touch the earth," which is one of the best doors songs (in my opinion).

Sounds like a mashup with I Think I Lost My Headache. I like it but I don't think it could ever beat the original. Those two guitar solos on the studio v just kill me every time.

I totally know what you're talking about with the solos. I'm sure you've seen it but there's a live version that plays on the bonus of over the years and through the woods that's just killer. mediocre sound quality, though, which is unfortunate. Easy to get past, though, once you hear how good the performance is.

Christo Pasiou Super late response but this version is actually called Catherdral City, though the studio version I've found is all instrumental I love it with vocals. I love both versions,Cathedral City just has its own dope groove

Been a dyed in the wool QOTSA fan since the turn of the miilenium. Never heard this version until a show. It remains at the top. I was lucky enough to hear Rated R & Lullabies material live before hearing the record, and it's the only "luck" I've ever had.

@@Jim-mq5xe Awesome show, one of the best I've ever seen. Maybe the best. The DC show was also REALLY good. Natasha was alive then, playing her leaned back keyboard. First time I heard this version of this song was that DC show. She freaked the girl I was with at the time out. She thought she was some kinda witch..lmao She had a really awesome stage presence and a kinda intimidating way about her if you didn't know her prior to seeing her perform, but I think she was really sick at that time. RIP NATASHA. ;(.. QOTSA and Kyuss are my relationship caveats, or crucibles. If you can't enjoy groove driven growling guitars, a bit of strangeness and the most creative songwriting around, I got nothing for you.

They performed at Pukkelpop after the release of Rated R And played 2 (then) unknown songs: God Is Radio & Go w th Flow. A little heavier And faster. Had it on some sort of old skool pc format 🤦♂️ got lost never found it again online. Good now, but still Feels like a loss. 1st time hearing it, live, powerful, young…

This is just a theory, i dont expect anybody to agree with me, but I noticed theres some songs that changed after Nick Oliveri left…if you look at the song credits for “God Is In the Radio” Nick Oliveri & Josh Homme wrote this song, and this version came out in 2005 (Nick got fired in 2004 I believe) again i just noticed songs like “Song for the Dead”, “Millionaire”, & “God Is In the Radio” have changed…not just because of Nick tho just saying! And obviously songs like “Gonna Leave You” & “Another Love Song” are not commonly played because Nick left.
