Well, the framework and the mathematics had been done before but Einstein's defining genius came from determining that the speed of light is the same for all observers. And then developing everything else from that. It was never previously considered and it was his thinking outside the box that then lead on to all of modern physics. So I'd suggest he still deserves the credit.

When it comes to the lettuce used on the Titanic, considering what is known of the culinary crew, their habits/ styles as chefs, and the what class would have eaten what food, it can be said with at least 90% confidence that the type of lettuce used was summercrisp, also known as Batavian or French Crisp, and only served to the top class. Eating healthy was as much a luxury then as it is now.

I like how Stephen was totally dismissive of Sue when she said Kentucky was known for fried chicken. "No they're not really known for that, haw haw haw", seriously? I'd be willing to bet that far more Americans and people around the world in general are more familiar with KFC than they are with the Kentucky Derby. I'd bet if you asked anyone to say the first thing that pops into their head when they hear the word Kentucky they'd say KFC, followed by Kentucky bourbon, only a blue blood would say "horse race". Stephen is such a snob :P
@Lanthanideification

Except it hasn't been advertised as "Kentucky Fried Chicken" for probably at least 15 years now. Even the "finger-licking good" slogan that Ross kept blathering hasn't been used in over a decade. There would be a good number of people who never knew what it stood for, and a larger number still who would have forgotten - to them it's "just KFC".

I'd say blue grass (the grass, not the music), horses (the animals, not racing), and bourbon, in that order. I don't think the state of Kentucky is mentally much associated with Kentucky Fried Chicken or KFC; it's just a name. Who thinks of Scotland when they hear McDonald's? or royalty because of Burger King or Dairy Queen? We're all so used to hearing brand names, we don't divide them into the meanings of their constituent parts, or think about them in any depth, sort of like how hearing a word over and over can make it seem to lose meaning. And, so many restaurants and stores have become national and international, they don't carry the regional associations they used to; I think that's at least part of the reason that Kentucky Fried Chicken decided to become KFC.
Sue and Brian could be twins.

Thank God Ross Noble was on the panel or everyone would have been lost in an existential quandary for the whole episode thanks to Brian and Stephen discussing the nature and meaning of the universe on a COMEDY PANEL SHOW!! Don't get me wrong, I love them to pieces, but Brian's effortless intellectual event horizon is so powerful that a very careful panel needs to be chosen,, indeed.
3:29 He predicted it
Ross had Brian in stitches!
OK, Brian is a great teacher, for he still has the common touch. He sits back listens and then explains things in English, not in a technical language. We see him here just letting others try to answer and then when they have had a go or answered he will then explain how things work. He is very cleaver and very humble in his presentation of science. Now, this subject is very difficult, and any children just give up in school. I love physics but in school when options came up I ticked chemistry by mistake and hated every moment, I think if we could have Brian in every school children would learn so much more. Maybe we should have like in some distant places school broadcasted on a dedicated Chanel, better than the old style schools programs. Also, less bloody boring than the open university. We are honoured to have him in our world and on this show. Stephen just loves a person that is intelligent, we can see this by his body language, I bet he spent time in the green room after if not before happily chatting with Brian. Alan always looks pissed off when someone is clever and takes Stephen's attention and camera time. Same with when Daniel Radcliff was on the show, in fact, Stephen even had to pull Alan for his reaction to Daniel talking and knowing things.

As Einstein said himself, Poincare's equations were mathematically equivalent but the issue lay that Poincare's method of formulation was flawed and contained paradoxes. He found the connection between mass and energy but hadn't determined how it physically applied without violating conversation of energy. Similarly, Lorentz admitted that while his equations formed the basis, he never made the logical leap that light was the same speed to all observers which is integral to the theory
