    Hotel Gangba and Homestay Gangba in Leh is one of the good option with balanced comfort, cleanliness and budget. They have both hotel option and Homestay option to cater to the needs of both budgets. I was there in Sept 2023 and stayed all my nights in Leh at Hotel Gangba.. Stanzin bhai, owner, is gem of a person and you will get to eat food cooked right from their garden vegetables. Knows me well in case you was to refer my name… Excellent experience I had. Market is also very near, less than a km, so you may stroll back to it after some heavy dinner :) Address: HOTEL GANGBA, Upper Tukcha Rd, Leh, Ladakh 194101 Contact: Stanzin bhai = +91-9419372808/ Ken = +91-8451057819, +91-8669121640

    Hi Dhiraj, Following your blog since 2011 , Good to see you on youtube as well. I have few questions: I am planning to do Leh Ladakh on scooty of 125 CC but with my kid of 6yr old. I am going to leh from SUV with my son and than rented out scooty for 10-15 days for sightseeing. Is it possible? how is the road condition from Leh to other part.

  • @discoverwithdheeraj

    @discoverwithdheeraj

    3 жыл бұрын

    Wow, such a great feeling to connect to someone from decade old... just realized how time has gone past... thanks for connect again.. When you say possible? Well, yes, it is possible and can be done. However, there will certainly be challenges with the kid and scooty. You have time so you can always come back to Leh, pick your required luggage for next leg of sightseeing and then move around in a star method with Leh as the hub where you keep the entire luggage. Even with that and traveling light, I will suggest that before you take that call, ride the scooty with the kiddo to Sham Valley day trip from Leh and see how much fatigue it causes and challenges it causes. It will be most easy. Then go from there to Nubra Valley 2-3 day trip in case you felt fine in Sham Valley. Till you reach Khardung La, you will come to know if it is something you want to continue or not else return back to Leh from there otherwise continue to Nubra Valley and then do rest of sightseeing with expectations set for you and the kid. • @discoverwithdheeraj

    @discoverwithdheeraj

    2 жыл бұрын

    Since 2021 end of season, Indian do not need any permit anymore in Ladakh for regular sightseeing. You just need to pay the Ladakh Environment Fee on the website and carry the receipt of it. Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/register-as-domestic Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following: 1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time 2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day 3. Red Cross Fee = Rs 50 one time but Optional, you don’t need to pay if you don’t want to.
