On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions. Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, and say: "We hear and we disobey"; and "Hear what is not Heard"; and "Ra'ina"; with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith. If only they had said: "What hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us"; it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe. Verily, We have sent you with the lasting truth (as) a Bearer of glad-tidings and (as) a Warner (to them), for there has been no people but have (been warned by) a Warner (from God). قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا 30 [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive." That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute. It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path." Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day. How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error. And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe. Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned. Great Quran

The main theme of the gospel is: For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) God,(though perfect in every measure and in no need of any service, companionship) desired in His perfect will to create man in His own likeness and image (Genesis 1:27 : "So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them;male and female He created them."),to have fellowship with Him. But we rebelled against God and sinned against Him and the sin separated us from the loving fellowship of the loving God(Isaiah 59:2"But your iniquities have separatedyou from your God;your sins have hidden his face from you,so that he will not hear." , Romans 3:24 " for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God") God; being HOLY, righteous and just; can never associate or tolerate even a bit of sin or unrighteousness( Psalms 5:4 " For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; no evil dwells with You” ). He must, as righteous, punish sin and the just punishment of sin or rather its due wage/payment is Death (Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.") We were eternally doomed and eternally estranged from God and awaiting eternal death. We cannot, as lost sinners, try to find the Holy God. A lost sheep cannot find the shepherd, its the shepherd who seeks out after the lost sheep. We cannot try to gain our salvation through works or our own effort as Isaiah 64:6 quotes"For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction]." Since God is just, He executes the penalty of sin justly and the only just penalty of sin is death. But God, in His love for us, sent His only begotton Son, the God and Lord Jesus; who paid the price for our sins, due to our inability to pay the price (Isaiah 53: 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him,and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;and the Lord has laid on himthe iniquity of us all.; 2 Corinthians 5: 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.) He willingly died on the cross for us, as a penalty of our sins (Philippians 2:5-8 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!). After paying the price of sin, He rose from the grave in the 3rd day. There is no other way to God, the Father apart from Jesus Christ. There is no salvation apart from Jesus (Acts 4:12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”) Now, God has given us opportunity to be reconciled to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5 : 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.) He was crucified on our behalf, died, was buried and was resurrected in the 3rd day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Jesus is going to come again to take His people, people who were saved by His death on the cross, and now live not in their former sins but according to God's nature.God, the Holy Spirit prepares His people to be taken in His Second coming. Romans 8:1,2 quotes "1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death". We are lost, dead and slaves to sin without God. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to eternal life. Rest are lost without Him, dead now to sin and will finally will face eternal death in hell. Acts 17 : 24 The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade shrines. 25 Neither is He served by human hands, as though He lacked anything, for it is He Himself Who gives life and breath and all things to all [people]. 26 And He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes), 27 So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring. 29 Since then we are God’s offspring, we ought not to suppose that Deity (the Godhead) is like gold or silver or stone, [of the nature of] a representation by human art and imagination, or anything constructed or invented. 30 Such [former] ages of ignorance God, it is true, ignored and allowed to pass unnoticed; but now He charges all people everywhere to repent (to change their minds for the better and heartily to amend their ways, with abhorrence of their past sins), 31 Because He has fixed a day when He will judge the world righteously (justly) by a Man Whom He has destined and appointed for that task, and He has made this credible and given conviction and assurance and evidence to everyone by raising Him from the dead.

Why we humans, who have got brains and can think..need a constant assurance and direction from a daddy figure. I am not being disrespectful here, I hate muslims..but my best friend is a christian who follows Presbyterianism..and I am an athiest...therefore a well thoughtout answer is desirable..with reasons.

As a matter of history, there are three points about Jesus that almost all historians - Christian, agnostic, atheist, Jewish, etc (minus Muslim) - agree on: 1) That Jesus died on a Cross, executed by the Romans. This point has been called, but both Christians and non-Christians, as the most certain fact of Jesus' life, and the most certain fact we can know about in history. There is no reputable historian that would deny this. 2) That the Disciples, who at Jesus' arrest, had fled in fear of their lives, all firmly and bravely proclaimed that they were witnesses to Jesus' resurrection, and they even died for their faith (minus John, who they tried to execute, but had survived and was the only one to die of natural causes). This fact is almost completely accepted, even by atheists, agnostics, etc. They believed that Jesus rose, and not even death would make them recant that. 3) That Jesus' enemies, those that didn't follow him in life, believed they saw Jesus alive, and died for their belief. These are two specific men: James, brother of Jesus, and Saul called Paul. In the case of Paul, he wanted to destroy the early Church, and is attested as the only man in history who actually had the chance of doing so. It is historically accepted that Paul died for his belief and faith that Jesus rose, and he claimed to have seen the resurrected Christ. James, Jesus' brother, thought Jesus was mad through his ministry, yet after the crucifixion James became a believer, claiming to have seen his brother in his resurrection body, and died in Jerusalem as a martyr. What historical theory can be put forth to adequately answer these three accepted facts? The most sure one is that Jesus rose from the grave. It answers all three, how the disciples went from basically cowards to martyrs, and it answers why a disbelieving brother and a hateful enemy could both preach Christ Crucified and Resurrected unto death. The next possible explanation is only accepted by about 10% of the disbelieving historians - that the disciples hallucinated. This falls a bit flat when you take into account that you're not going to get 11 people to hallucinate the same thing, report the same thing, at the same time, and especially not when you have 500 witnesses doing so. Also, it is not going to answer why Paul, an enemy of the new faith, would hallucinate. James, his brother, maybe. But not Paul. The next argument even less believe - the swoon theory. That Jesus didn't die. That is not supported by the first fact - Jesus died. Roman soldiers did not make mistakes with crucifixion, and there isn't one single historical account in Roman History where someone survived a full crucifixion. Three people were taken down off crosses just after being nailed there, but only one actually survived. Jesus went through the lot, including the "death blow". Also, a beaten and bleeding Christ coming around in a cold, airless tomb, with holes through his wrists and ankles, and one in his side, is not going to have the energy or strength to take off his burial bonds, stagger on heels over to the stone, roll it away, fight off up to 20 Roman soldiers, stagger to his disciples and prove that he rose again. That is not credible. Never mind Paul and James this time. After this, the explanations get... strange. Including aliens and stuff. I won't bother repeated them. The most acceptable historical answer to the three historically accepted facts about this event is that Jesus rose. That he was who he claimed to be, the Son of the Most High. The Great I Am. That if I'm going to wonder about life after death, then I'm going to listen to the one who came back from the dead. That is one of the reasons I believed. I no longer believe, however - I can now say with Saul called Paul: "... for I know in whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him against that day (the End of Days, or day of my death)". 2 Timothy 1:12 This is the historical reason why I believe that Jesus is God, that his Father loves us all, and why I accepted Jesus as my saviour. If a man can raise himself from the dead, then he is worth listening too. Jesus claimed that all of us were cut off from God, that we were all wicked and in rebellion against him, but that the Father loves us all so much that he sent his son, himself: Jesus. On that cross Jesus took on himself our sin, our rebellion, and drank down the wrath of his Father that was intended for us. He did this so that we would not have to take it ourselves. If we were to try it would take forever to pay, and that means we'd never be with him. God so loved us that he willingly took on himself the burden we had, so that his absolute Justice would be met, and his Mercy and Love released. And all Jesus asks of us is to accept him. If you are honest, if we're all honest, we're a bunch of broken, nasty people - more prone to do wrong than to do right. Sure we can be loving and kind and caring, but just take a look at your own life, or at the world around you. We're broken. The reason is sin. It isn't just a matter of "oops", but rather a cancer that eats at us. If we acknowledge this, repent of it (turn away and toward Jesus), and ask him to forgive us, he will. He can, now, after the cross. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 It's that easy. And the historical reasons alone should make you at least think on this. I do ask you to do so honestly, and I will pray for you. God bless

:) Look at the wording of what Paul said: (I'll cap the words in question) "I KNOW in whom I HAVE BELIEVED, and am persuaded... etc" I no longer simply 'believe' this, but I know it. In the wording of non-Christians, yes I believe, but it goes much deeper than that now. Sorry if I made it seem otherwise :)

boiragirules asks Why we humans, who have got brains and can think..need a constant assurance and direction from a daddy figure.? Let me ask you boiragirules...Do YOU believe there are things which are always wrong for example sex between an adult and a child or gassing people because they are Jews or gypsies? If you dont believe this then you have to accept that people like you can do whatever they want because they can make up their own subjective morality. If you believe there are some things which are always wrong - objective morality then you believe in natural law - an overarching source of right and wrong for all cultures that says that any culture that allows sex with a chile or extermination of other religions is WRONG. So if you believe in natural law what its the source of it? It cant be individuals since you are back with the subjective problem above. So if you have a brain to think what is so unreasonable of believing in a source for natural law?

Liar. Prophet Muhammad's geneology is known throughout history. The arabs at that time were people who memorised their own chain of ancestors. That was how we know that he was linked to prophet Ishmael and he was also related to one of his companions, Umar, thru the 8th generation before. To memorise one's ancestry was their tradition at that time n some still do to this very day. It was all well documented. I hope the questioner could do her own research. Do not rely on others. They might mislead you

If the christians believe that their God is Most Loving, Love the sinners unconditionally, then why their God created hellfire? Whats the need of hellfire? God can forgive all the sinners. But wait, the bible says, man must accept jesus as the lord n saviour to gain eternal life. Thats conditional!!...

When we sin, we don't just break a law or a command.. We rebel against God and His very nature and put ourselves against Him who is perfectly righteous and Holy and just and hates sin. He can never ever ever compromise with sin. Now, God is the source of all life and goodness and when we sin, we separate ourselves away from God who is the source of all life. That is, when we separate ourselves from the source of life, we are drawing closer to death. Now, hell is hell not only because of the fire, the torment and the anguish in it. But rather, the main cause of hell being really 'hell' is the eternal separation of a person from the presence of God who is the source of life, love, joy, peace, holiness, beauty, etc. God isn't pushing anyone to Hell. But neither is he dragging anyone to heaven. (Romans 6:23) The bible tells us that - All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). None is righteous, no not one (Romans 3:10-18). Even our 'righteous acts' are like 'filthy rags' before Him (Isaiah 64:6). We cannot attain righteousness through works of law (Galatians 3:11). God, being absolutely Just and Holy and Righteous CANNOT CANNOT let sin go unpunished. God, being Love and being merciful and loving, has mercy on us. Now, God's attributes of Righteousness and Love are never in contradiction nor do any of the attributes take a higher position. Now, how can a completely and rigidly Righteous God also be merciful and loving to the sinful man? This question is answered in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus, the second person in Trinity became man and was born on this earth through the virgin Mary. Now, when Jesus became man, there was no reduction of His divinity but addition of humanity. Jesus is complete God and complete Man. Jesus lived the perfect and sinless life that we never could live. And He bore on Himself the penalty of the sins that we humans deserved. At the cross, God poured on Jesus Christ that full cup of the wrath of God. Jesus paid a debt He did not owe because we owed a debt that we could not pay. Jesus died on the cross for us. Was buried. And was resurrected 3 days later (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 2:22-36). He is alive FOREVERMORE and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Now, God has extended this undeserved mercy and unconditional love toward us sinners that all who accept the sacrifice of Jesus for their sakes and accept His Lordship will be saved. Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are accepted as righteous when we put our faith in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:20‐28; Romans 5:1‐2, 6-31; Acts 10:36-43; John 3:16-21, Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Galatians 3:6-14; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 10:10,17). All who believe in Him and accept His Lordship will be saved, the rest will perish. The Holy Spirit, the third person in Trinity dwells in the person who truly accepts Jesus as Lord and guides, counsels and empowers him to live a life in accordance with God's will and good pleasure. (John 14:15‐21, 23, 26) God has made Him the Judge and HE SI GOING TO COME BACK and judge the world in justice. (Acts 17:30-31; Revelation 22:12-13; Hebrews 9:27).
