Great info ! I had never heard of the safety bar squat & had forgotten about the sumo squat. I can use these as variations to make it easier on my lower back.

It always amazes me how few people understand how much of a change it was when The Founding Fathers of America took the land by military force, then abdicated power to The People. When you look at what existed when The Founders won and the Empire they had been raised in, abdicating power was a very unusual act. Modern people that have benefited from their abdication no longer appreciate the amazing nature of the choice. Always glad to see a few folks still understand the miracle of the abdication of power, one of the more unusual choices by what were in essence military commanders who won a war and controlled the military power of the nation.

I was just reading Starting Strength about lower back position when squatting. I think some of my pain could have come from trying to keep it too straight.
