Here's my take on your relationship. Both need to be open to each others culture and needs and find ways to adapt to it. Approach it with an open mind because your both are from two different cultures. Respect each other’s differences . Try and learn to listen to each other and find ways to make it work while being open about your differences with understanding. These are the barriers you will confront in life. There will be conflict of interest but there part of your learning process. You will eventually find common ground but it will require a lot of cultural sacrifices on both sides. Obviously you want to be together to make it work. I say don't have kids yet until you're both are happy and set for life. You will both know if you spend at least one year in Germany together and see what works on the long run there if you had kids then one year in fiji and see which one would work out best for you. Just be yourselves like you are now and don't hide anything from each other then you'll both be happy.

I totally agree with Lea on the Fiji time, can be hard to deal with but that normally is associated when you live abroad and one is used to the fast pace, it can be very annoying going back home and having to adapt to the slow pace which is manageable but people take it to the extreme by just not turning up on time which is rude! 4yrs and you are still together is great, Im sure you are learning to live with each other and embracing your differences makes your videos enjoyable to watch.

The main reason of having an interracial relationship/marriage is to learn new cultures and experiences from both sides of the family. Especially teaching both how to respect each other in their own unique ways of living and learning from it. It’s very important, special and enjoyable when you both experience it. Speaking from personal experience and if I was in his shoes, I’d be excited to visit Berlin, eat sauerkraut with German sausages and bakery, go to the Oktoberfest, learn German language and visit the historical sites of WW2🎉

@lea&markabroad Bula!! New Subscriber Here! I just found your channel and had to subscribe to another “Fellow KZreadr” especially because it’s a Fijian Channel. I’m also from FIJI, Born and raised in Lautoka. I’m Polynesian but definitely Fijian on the inside. There are many FIJIAN channels on KZread but a bit “Nako . . kila?” You guys are probably only the second channel I follow besides the WAKA Family because your content is good and interesting enough for Me because I can totally relate to everything. Watching Lea make rourou was entertaining because it’s definitely a culture difference like for example scraping the coconut. Man I’ve done it all from scraping coconut to pounding grog for My Elders 😂😂

Lea from what I’m seeing you like Mark but you have some reservations on him being Fijian. Enjoy your relationship while you explore each other’s culture. Fijians are laid back by nature and Germans are known for their desire to be seen as being efficient in everything they do. These differences will be the biggest obstacle in your future happiness especially if children are in the equation. Good luck.
