Salaam. There is something from you going around titled 'POV blocking men'. I just want to kindly and politely point out that a man saying 'I live with my parents' should not be seen as a 'red flag'. In islam we are told to cherish our mothers and fathers dearly and keep them close. If a sister is unwilling to live with a mother and father in law then that is very very understandable but to state that a male living with his mother and a father is a red flag unfortunately, and very dangerously, ties into the western mindset of individualism. Remember, some of us may live to see old age...let's not treat living with and looking after your parents as something to be embarrassed about.

@@shahliker1095 honestly with marriage the reality is everyone had their own preference. If a sister or brother rejects someone based on a trait they dislike that is their choice. Ultimately everyone should marry whom is pleasing to them. Islamically we are advised to get married. As for who to marry that is our own individual choice. If someone makes a video on KZread about their own experience and advice no need to get offended by it. Let people have their own opinion. I wouldn't want to marry someone that dislikes a major trait of mine or circumstance. It's not fair to me or them.

@@starlight200816 You have missed the point if I can respectfully say so. The message posted wasn't 'I prefer not to marry a man who lives with his parents'. It was effectively 'man who lives with his parents - red flag'. Big difference. We shouldn't be promoting the idea that it is embarrassing to live with our parents. They are dearest to us and we know....'heaven is under your mother's feet'.

In reality, people who have been married and have children, and are divorced find it really challenging to find a spouse who meets their expectations. This applies to both genders.

“Someone can be madly in love with you and still not be ready. They can love you in a way you have never been loved and still not join you on the bridge. And whatever their reasons you must leave. Because you never ever have to inspire anyone to meet you on the bridge. You never ever have to convince someone to do the work to be ready. There is more extraordinary love, more love that you have never seen, out here in this wide and wild universe. And there is the love that will be ready.” -Nayirrah Waheed. Been seeing this quote a lot of social media and it just sums the last question up well I think.

Hi Zahraa. Assalamualaikum. 'It is what it is'. This is what I truly believe to be the no1 hurdle/barrier, in this day and Age, for the brothers/sisters to practice, me included. The influence of the worldly concept of 'healing' oftentimes conflicted with the subject of Redha/Ridha of the faith. It is often thought that one needs to completely 'heal' from the trauma of the past (and here I of course referring to intimate relationship between man and woman) in order to embark on a new journey with another person. We plan, we act, but what we sometimes forget or set aside (perhaps unknowingly since we are brought up in a framwework of 'man/woman decides his/her destiny') is that the decision is His, and only He alone will decide which path we will be, based on the plan/action that we took. Tawakkal...we kinda 'silenced' this in our everyday life. My apology, rambling on, perhaps unwelcomed. You are a strong person, with conviction, eloquence, and a past. Any decent human being will be cautious to take the next step forward in that circumstances. May Allah grants you the bliss of partnership that will further helps you on your journey, perhaps sharing the load of 'healing' as you move forward in life. Be Well and Assalamualaikum

Thank you so much for sharing this, sister!! And thank you for being so brave and admitting you get therapy to help you in life. I know for me some of my trauma is related to being a Muslimah. And how judgmental born Muslims can be towards converts. Like I don't want to get into too many details, because I don't want to distract from your wonderful message, but in 2019, I was sexually assaulted. And for some reason, instead of referring me to a qualified mental health professional, my imam thought the secretary was the person he sent me to. Who showed very quickly that she was not qualified by telling me that I had cheated on my husband. Alhamdulillah I was able to stand up for myself and say, "that's what I thought too, but then alhamdulillah, I felt like Allah subhannah wa ta'ala was telling me such thoughts were from shaythanis and not from Him." Fortunately, my therapist now is so incredibly patient, like I was talking about that stuff, and she had me just sit with it. And I started to get so overwhelmed that I was like, "I don't want to do this anymore, right now! I'm about to have a panic attack!" Her response? "Thank you! I appreciate you advocating for yourself and telling me your limits." My apologies, I am really sorry I'm not trying to make this about me at all. I just saw how open and honest you are, and I felt inspired to be honest about a little bit of my situation. I'm grateful to God that you clicked with your therapist from the start. Insha'Allah your journey of self-discovery will continue to strengthen you into having an even more beautiful energy. ❤️❤️❤️ Sorry one other thing, Al Islam is one really awesome website. But another resource I've also used a lot, especially when I was a baby Muslimah, is this one Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya (313) 562-4626 g.co/kgs/8Ay91i You can look at the frequently answered fīqh questions. Or you can submit a question to the scholars. Sometimes the answers they give are...not the best is the nicest way I can put it....but some of the scholars give awesome answers and support them with Hadith from Kītab Al Kafi and Al Qu'ran. I loved this Q and A. JazakAllah Khariyan

@@ZahraaBerro I agree with you completely. I hope hoping, Insha'Allah, more Muslimahs decide to become therapists. But it's sad, because a lot won't, especially where I'm at in Western PA. Because they don't want to work with the LGBTQI+ community. Because if you express an opinion that is discriminatory towards the LGBTQI+ community, you can lose your license to deliver psychotherapy, rightly so, since part of being a professional is divorcing whatever beliefs you may or may not have from your job. I briefly did psychotherapy with kids in their homes. And I have 4 years or so of clinical experience with children, toddlers and youth with autism. And if people ask me why I put kum kum on my forehead, and the part of my hair. I just tell them it's because I have desi ancestry. Because therapy is not about the therapist. It's about the clients journey. And like I tried working with a couple hijabi therapists to try to heal some of my religious trauma. But it's too traumatic because I got pushed into sharing some really hard s--- when it was only my second sesh. Some other things happened that led me to firing her. But my therapist now is amazing. She uses a lot of somatically based techniques, which are more powerful than just pure CBT, on my humble, opinion. Like for instance, Zahra's. When I see your beautiful smiling face, your energy smells like roses, daffodils, jade, and sunflowers. Thanks for being so sympathetic, kind, and compassionate. Insha'Allah you have a nice day, wonderful sister. ❤️ JazakAllah Khariyan. ❤️

Its hard for a single mother to land a high value man. A man that earns 6 figures, is over 6 Feet and has a 6 pack. These high value men go for younger virgin girls.

If you want to be truly veiled to you from me, I am a Muslim, I will advise you with this: Do not speak to any man except your father, uncle, grandfather and brother. Do not put even a little bit of make-up because it is forbidden! . Do not dress yourself up for any man other than your husband. And do not put perfume outside the house, it is forbidden! . And don't show your wrist or even part of your feet! . And other morals, transactions and worship. The subject is not just a piece of cloth on the head.

She’s a bit on the masculine side of the spectrum as a woman. Not saying anything wrong with that necessarily. Although, in many cases, overly masculine women tend to not have healthy satisfied relationships. That may be why she struggles to find a good solid healthy marriage. A woman like this really needs a man who is very masculine. A man who knows how to maintain a position of authority in a relationship. If a woman assumes a position of authority in marriage it will be doomed. Both parties will be miserable. The woman will lose respect for the husband and resent him for it. May Allah SWT grant her the man she needs. Ameen 🤲

Salam aleikum brothers and sisters, my question is as follows; I honestly couldn’t watch turther than 1:30. At this point the topic was about healing, when the Channel owner mentioned visiting a therapist. What is the stance on Muslims needing/visiting therapists? What is the islamic view on this? To be honest, I can not watch any further because I believe in Allah. Allahu ahlam gives me the idea that studying Quran, Tafseer and Sunnah will bring me closer to practise believing in Allahu ahlam more than I would when I believe in a human to solve the problems in my soul. My heart and soul are hurt and I have been alone in this dunya for so long that I also sought help. It is not bad and it shows character, that you at least feel the need to improve. Simultaneously I discovered how a mere human will not provide me with answers only Allah can give. Beacause Allahu ahlam.. The guidance, healing and love I’m looking for… it doesn’t seem to be retrievable in (the council of) another human. What are your thoughts on these ideas and would you offer me your view on this? (@everyone that reads this) Salam
