She was an incredible human being - teacher, mother, wife, historian - one of the most optimistic brilliant people I've ever met.
Simply watching Dr.Appleby talk is a pleasure.
Tremendously engaging. I'm reading her book right now and it is absolutely fascinating.

What an interesting, eloquent woman.
The part of her that has studied economic history makes her libertarian and the part of her that is the historian keeps her liberal. It's understandable that she has the contradiction she claims. I love her anyway.
