Congrats on getting into Oxford 😊 a video on how you went about writing your dissertation would be really useful, I also enjoyed the series you did a while ago were you analysed legal cases, eg the tiktok lawsuit, so if you were able to do something similar in the future that would be cool 😊

Video request ideas for you; 1. Book shelf tour (the ones your sitting in front of in this video) 2. What I'm reading this summer 3. Moving to Oxford vlog 4. More videos about privilege such as private schools (thoughts, pros and cons/would you send your future kids to a private school) 5. Perhaps a video about maternity and paternity leave in general? Shared leave between spouses thoughts? You could do some research and discuss it with us Love your videos! From Laura x

Great ideas! I’ll add these to my list and have a think about them. I’m particularly keen to talk about inequalities/ private schools etc. Completely agree with your other comment about social mobility too; it’s something that I think will be interesting to discuss more next year.

thank you for being transparent about your funding. I agree that education should be free for everyone, but c'est la vie.

Thank you for addressing the privilege barrier in law it's so important. I read somewhere that over 50% of medical students went to private school! Also the majority of politicians both Labour and Tory have been to Oxford doing PPE hardly diverse. Social mobility is fucked in the UK! From Laura.

You can’t pin it down to private or public schools. The most significant factor in success is how stable your family is during your formative years. parents who remain together- their children do way better in the long term.there is the real privilege

Did you have any back up choices for postgraduate studies? Since BCL required a first class - did you have a back up if you didn't get that? You have also shone a light on how you funded your course and acknowledged your privilege and the privilege that barristers generally had growing up. Congratulations on the best mark of your year. I look forward to your videos

Thank you 🙂. I didn’t have any firm back ups. I had an offer from Cambridge but they also asked for a first. My rough plan was to make a last minute Bar Course application if it all went wrong. Thankfully, I didn’t have many assessments left by the time I accepted my Oxford offer, so I knew I was on track for a first.
