Nevada's Pyramid Lake is home to the world's largest cutthroat trout. Despite the gargantuan size these trout attain, small flies such as chironomid pupa are often one of the best fly choices.
Taylor Brune's Prodigy Pupa is an excellent choice in your fly box if you can fish Pyramid Lake, especially during the late winter through early spring. The Prodigy Pupa is also a pretty darn good pattern on other lakes.
