Unfortunately a major repeated misplay from the 7GDL side: BT16 Lucemon cannot use its [End of Turn] effect to evolve into BT7 Lucemon: Chaos Mode in the trash because it does not meet the digivolution requirements. Lucemon only allows you to digivolve for free, but it doesn't let you ignore digovolution requirements. BT7 Lucemon: Chaos Mode can only use its effect to evolve from Lucemon from the hand. I wish it worked that way :(

FYI for ex6 lucemon you can use its start of main phase effect before your gates to get an extra search and possible demon lord trait in trash

Note: The effect of Lucemon and Gate are the same timing, so I could've gotten another Lucemon search before popping it with gate 😅 Also, my opponent used Crimson blaze without red source, but we both missed it so that's on us haha

You digied a few times into lucemon FM bt7 which you can't do since the new lucemon does not ignore digivoulution requirements
