I don't know the reason but I can't start a discussion on Arc forum, so I'll ask you guys here. This might sound an noob question but I've been wondering about this and I didn't come to a conclusion yet. Although all 4 rr8 weapons can have the def. level status, why it became a consensus among all bm that the sword is the defensive weapon? Couldn't it be any of the other 3? Given that all of them could give the same amount of def. level? (Well, we can leave the fists apart because even having good "control" skills in pvp, I can't see anyone opting using it as a defensive weapon).

Sword was most straightforward to make since it is the only option for a weapon to make as r8 at the rank npc which is one reason why. Also before this update swords could stun on roar and dragon rising which didn’t make a difference vs axes. Another reason may be because the chi building skills are sword skills so it was better to be in defense with a sword while building chi. But now I would prefer r8 defense axes so I can stun while in def mode

@@xXWildaxeXx Got it, thank you! xD I play on the brazilian server and the update hasn't arrived yet, the forecast is in August. I am about to make my defensive weapon, already got all the materials...do you think it's worth to make the axes now or make the sword to use in those few months and then make another weapon (axe) in the future?

@@alessandromoretti2270 august is pretty far away so I would just make sword first then make the axe after BR receives the update, if you are financially able to

I would say sword first, sword skills do more damage than pike atm and that 50-60 chi on spirit chaser is very useful 😁. But I would get both if you can

You play cool, respect. Why didn't you make a spear instead of swords? Is the spear much worse? why do you strike with a sword and not with a spear?

My sword is s4 with 70 attack levels, the spear i have is s3 with 40 attack levels. More damage with the sword

@@xXWildaxeXx Thanks for the reply. I just watched your PVP with a mage, and there you have normal damage from a spear on it flew. I play on the official server of the Russian Perfect World. Do you think it's worth collecting the spear first? He looks more attractive to me.

@@mirkotej I would make the sword first, mostly for the myriad sword stance skill. The damage from that skill is worth it and you can’t use that skill with spear
