Good video, and thank you. Your advice to NOT use a hammer to tap in the nails to the car contradicts other instructions i have heard, such as using a Pro axle guide tool to guide the nail into the wood slot. Different school of thought i guess. If careful, using a hammer WILL work without damaging the wheel! Also if pinewood derby is supposed to be a Kid project mostly then using a hammer to tap in the nails is a great opportunity for the child to participate and do something rather than the dad doing it all. Some videos advise tapping the nail in without the wheel (part of the way) to loosen up the wood then pull the nail out with pliers then later tap in the nail with the wheel for final assembly. Thanks for your video, some useful tips in here.

Just polish the wheels with graphite? Any sanding needed on the wheels prior?
