A couple of my last games of PvP I was killed by rats on customs doing The Setup.

Cheating killed Tarkov. PvE merely allows an outlet for those who are: A) Sick of cheating and would play other games B) Legitimately too shit at PvP Tarkov to get anywhere (usually out of a lack of ignorance for game mechanics like scav runs) C) Mega Casuals who "have only 2 hours a week" so they can play there without worrying about wipes. The average "casual" has a decent chunk of time and is both bad and ignorant. Kinds of people who go bankrupt in the first week trying to copy all these "meta" guns when nobody has flea yet beyond streamers and sweatlords. Then when they do get it, they waste all their money on near-meta kits and labs cards only to get clapped by the very people they try to immitate.

Ok I got 12k hours on Tarkov and I really enjoy PVE mode. Since there is nothing to do in PVP for me, except for PVP and that becomes boring too fast.

One of the biggest selling points for me with PvE is the fact that I don't get wiped unless I choose to. I usually get to around level 26 before the rest of the player base is so far ahead I quit. I also enjoy playing with a whiskey or beer and let's be honest that makes PvP waaaay harder.

Yeah you're absolutely right man. We should also start a petition to force each CS2 Pro team to have at least 1 Silver player in their roster. Because Otherwise it will be no fun if they can't shit on noobs

A few thoughts on what you said: 1. You said if people dont like the cat and mouse aspect of the game and getting hinted down, then tarkov isnt for them. Them leaving Tarkov does the same thing to you as going to PvE, either way you wont see them in raid. 2. You advocate for a SBMM system so that timmies arent spending all day getting stomped. Again this has the same impact on you, it takes them out of your raids so you cant bully them.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this take right here man wasn’t it lol. Don’t be man at casuals/noobs. tarkov caters tivsweats and no lifers that can play the game 8 hours a day. @@IamTx216 The thing is it isn't cod, there is a story line that a lot of people are getting to experience since they can play Tarkov without getting slapped around, Like yeah it takes a certain level of gitgud but like Vacuum cheating still isn't solved. I personally don't get much time due to my job to sit down and play with friends, having the option of no wipe on PVE is great, I wish there was a no wipe PVP but we wont see that

Played since 2018, got 2k hrs PVP (not flex just for ref) I think the addition of sbmm would reduce the amount of casuals/dads in your games even more than PVE did imo. Although it splits the community a bit, I think adding PVE is a necessary evil because at the end of the day most gamers and even Tarkov players aren't mega sweats. Appealing to casuals is what keeps game companies afloat/ succeeding long term. Thats where I stand. And I'm not saying I want cod haha. I just think PVE was a good middle ground without making game balance changes that bother the hardcore playerbase. Interesting to hear your take

Pve makes tarkov more fun and relaxing. Don’t gotta worry about rats. Cheaters. Load times. And you can be creative with your builds and not worry about loosing much. You get used to the weapons. Quests and maps

im familiar with tarkov so ill drop my 2 cents, i love guns, i love gear, i have passions for both of these things, the reason i never started playing tarkov is precisely because i knew id get burnt out having to fight against people with multiple thousands of hours and lose all my good shit right away, on one hand this is technically the point of the game as an extraction looter shooter, but at the same time with how hardcore this is the game itself is going to have a hard time surviving, it will get a core center of people who play it for 10s of thousands of hours but it will face a massive issue where the playerbase begins dwindling into maybe a few hundred players, tarkov like many other games suffers from a meta problem, certain players want nothing else then to get as many kills as easily as possible, this leads to the entry level getting beaten down and subsequently pushed out more and more as time progresses, THIS CAN KILL A GAME, this has many times over destroyed entire games with what was once thought to be dedicated fanbases, a great example of this is Elite Dangerous, a space sandbox sim with a very vast engineering capability for ships, the problem is for combat you have to do a ton of engineering and it ends up breaking your ships capabilities when it comes to fighting non or minimally engineered vessels, this means even experienced players would get instakilled by players who do nothing but play for PvP, so if youre an explorer, or a miner, or you just like doing PvE bounties youd never play in open play (the selection option for playing with other people present in game) youd always play solo or private, meaning the overall interaction between players in the playerbase slowly dwindled since explorers and miners would spend literal hundreds of hours sometimes grinding only to be killed by a guy who just sits in a star system interdicting defenseless ships and killing them just because he can

i am a dad gamer so pve has it's market. i don't mind dying from skilled players but let's face it... the cheating problem is out of hand mate..

I have played this game since alpha consider myself a high end mid tier player and have no issues in PvP I’m able to get kappa each wipe if I’m in the mood to. That said I’ve switched over to Pve full time (besides events to get the achievements) not because I can’t hold up in PvP or dont have the time to be honest I’m playing more than ever. I enjoy the “rpg” aspect of the game and once I have 100% all of the quests on pve I’m sure I will go back to PvP. End of wipe is the most boring time to play now we have something new to do while we wait.

Your opinion is noted. PvE is here and seems it is here to stay. SPT is not something that can be ran without the risk that’s comes with it too. Risking $35 to $200 to play SPT is not worth it. That part of your outtake is a bit off.

I normally avoid PvP since that is not my cup of tea, but i gave Tarkov a chanse in PvP since it is such a good game, and i was okay with that. What ruined the PvP mode for me was the rampant growth of cheaters, the most obvious ones, the speed hackers. That sucked the joy out of the PvP mode, so when PvE came around, the switch was a no brainer. Is that an optimal solution? Of course not. I would prefer to play PvP, but at the moment, PvE is the only solution for me until BSG get a handle on the cheating problem. But i must say that your video just come out as a big "waaaah, bohooo, i have no noobs to shoot and i am to sucky at the game to shoot anyone better than me" whine. Sorry, but that's how it sound to me. Don't take me wrong, i have no problem being shot by better players, as you said, thats part of the game. I'm not a PVE player, but his take is still bad. The people enjoying PVE at the moment, are people who quit because they either didn't have the time or skill to get into the game or they left EFT already because of the huge cheater problem. Now they can at least return to enjoy one of their favourite games without having to deal with all the BS. I don't blame or look down on anyone enjoying PVE honestly.

Cheaters is one thing, but campers and lame players are horrible, i don't think pve players will miss getting oneshot by a bush or run down by a trio. Late wipe raids made me stop playing completely, people stopped looting, just sitting around waiting for each other in a bush or near a loot place.

I would watch one of my friends cheat in tarkov, and seeing how many cheaters he would find or how many dead lobby's with 1 other player in them was very surprising. He got a couple of accounts banned but he would only get banned once he full blatant hacker mode. Otherwise its really easy to hide and he hasn't gotten banned since. Also I've never gotten to the end game missions before, so pve never wiping is a nice for that.

Honestly Battlestate Games killed live tarkov (Period) We have a non-functional anti cheat, random af balance patches it feels like they pick via random dartboard throw and any time people have fun doing something it gets nerfed or nuked out of the game. PVE is a good addition, because new people can get to learn the game without getting dunked on by people with thousands of hours.. At some point they get tired of running PVE and at that point, they enter PVP a bit more prepared when they've learned the basics. I'm playing pve because whenever I try to play pvp the raids are emptier than a pve raid its insane how many people started to play pve I see 2 pmcs in 5 raids and I just rush usually high traffic areas good loot is never taken (still talking about pvp) whoever plays pvp are the mentioned chads or just loot gremlins sweeping the outskirts of the map I just gonna wait for the wipe I will look over to pvp once a day and try to get them pockets idk if they are permanent or not edit: the addition of ref and the fact that most standing comes from playing arena will divide playerbase even more and the drama divided it even more

Well I played Tarkov for like 2 years, I still enjoy PVE game because I do like it. And whenever I am done with killed 10+ SCAV in any raid of PVE, I switch back to PVP and kill/killed by real players. That's the fact, not like all the noobs play PVE but chads play PVP.

The AI in tarkov is easily one of the worst parts of the game why an earth would anyone choose to play PVE it just turns the game into cookie clicker

I've been playing this game since 2019 and I'm just saying cheaters are bad in eft, saying that's its a occasional cheater is a wild take, this wipe in particular has been the worst when it came to cheating almost every single lobby I was in there was at least 1 cheater that was blatant, if you do not believe the cheating problem is bad then I suggest you buy esp for a day and just go spectate lobby's because I guarantee you wont get banned and I promise you will see a lot of cheaters. maybe not as much now since wipe is almost over but I promise you will see cheaters.

I work a lot, I don't have time to commit to tarkov and I'll fall behind every other full time sweat on PvP, it's not like anyone playing PvE wasn't already playing SPT before this dropped, now we can just more easily play coop with friends and vibe, I honestly highly doubt it's had that high of an impact. Trash video.. I'm that Dad gamer who only has an hour or 2 to play at times... I stick to PVP servers because as an oldschool online gamer I just dont get the same hit of dopamine if there are not real players in my raid. BUT... The Tarkov community has been asking for this type of thing FOREVER and I think it's insane to suggest we should rely on sketchy 3rd party mods rather than get these things directly from BSG and to be upset that "noobs and casual players" are playing PVE just because you dont have easy PMC kills in your lobbies anymore which I also dont really agree with because I run across them ALL THE TIME. the PVE mode has literally been released a couple of months at best... let me put a theory out there for you which is how I really feel about PVE. It's late wipe.. We're obviously going to see a drop in casuals and some dead raids.. but all of these people who are too afraid to get into tarkov, want to learn the maps and just casually play until they figure it out... a large percentage of those people WILL become PVE players when PVE gets stale and they want more gunfights, different market mechanics etc etc etc. PVE gives people a chance to get a taste of Tarkov, figure the game out and become a semi knowledgable player before they spend hours getting absolutely destroyed in a way that is significantly better than an "offline raid". Wait until the August wipe, hit me up in October and tell me if you still feel the same, there's a lag time that's happening between PVE release and a lot of those players migrating to PVP but it's coming.. the number of players leaving PVP to play only PVE is likely much smaller than you think.

So I have 2 Tarkov accounts and combined 28k+ hours and am what allot of players call a “chad” in the first month of this wipe I had over 120+ successful reports for cheating and I full quit after another month, my more casual friends told me about new PVE servers and how they wanted to play on it an I was like sure why not and honestly until they fix their cheater issue I don’t see my self putting much time into PvP it’s just not worth it anymore, PvE is pretty fun and I know there’s no cheaters and the AI is better on average then your usual player but obv sucks to no fight fight other chads but still an overall better experience then current PvP servers

Tarkov skill = I started wipe sooner than you, I have better armor and access to better ammo than you do and will always have the superior advantage. Tarkov pvp is just an MMO.. it’s just a time sink more than its skill. Skill requires players to be on a level playing field. Nothing about tarkov is skill based.. it’s just a shit no lifer game loop. Blaming PvE who want to just chill and play a game.. not only that but I would have rather spent my first 300 hours learning map layouts and how to fight AI and bosses through PvE than never even being able to get close to a boss without getting headeyes from god knows where. Just because you learned the game in a completely broken way, does not mean they shouldn’t create a better learning system.

Devs don't have a reason to improve PvP and anticheat either, pvp now only serves to fumble honest players into buying unheard and providing cheap copies to cheaters. Thankfully community pressured them enough to allow separate purchase of PvE. That said, i've only ever been interested in tarkov for pvp, it's what made tarkov unique and interesting, now that it's dead i'm not very interested, we play pve occasionally because my friend wants to, but it's really not the same, the tarkov ai especially are no match for real players, not just in terms of skill but their behavior. But people do have the right to play pve if they want to, and i don't think pvp has much reason to exist now, though it was fun and i will miss it One thing i will grant Pve is that it made me realize wipes are single worst thing about tarkov.

PVE should have random players with in the lobby. They should not be able to damage you but you should not be able to roam the map to eat up all the loot for your self there should still be an idea of urgency to get good loot/PVE kills.

Let's face it. They made pve a cash grab nothing more. Locked it behind a new eddition of the game. You can choose to play it, buy into that overpriced pve... As for pvp yea it's there and okay now pvp is just either mid level or high level players in terms of skill and that's good. They are enjoying the pvp aspect of the game... Yet as for what I'm seeing, how the game was meant to be played... Having pmc karma, factions, in raid traiders.... It all goes to pve and cooperation with other people. The more and more bsg tries to make the game competetive, punishing the more players will switch to pve or go onto SPT. The whole game revolves around knowlage and that knowlage is a lenghty process to accuire and some people will go the route of being chill with it, not being on a time limit to meet some goals so they choose pve, others like the whole pvp aspect of the game. Additionally if the game would have been a pvp only game they should have removed all pve ai beside raiders, bosses. Why? Because now only people are playing. As for your point of "Hey we can make an option to play in lower populated servers..." - Yea RMT galore... - It's still a pve mode... - You get people not aquainted with pvp. The solution can be: - Deletion of flea markert. - People never loose their inshured gear. (what you loot you just copy) - Loose items looted, ammo. In this case progression would be locked behind quests so they are way more important. Casuals never loose their gear but monney. Just make the game less punishing and that's it or stop complaining about the lack of a player base on pvp... the harsh reality is that the game more and more is punishing for newer players and that kills it. I am planning to play PvP next wipe but I've never got level 25 because I don't have enough time but I have got to level 33 so far on pve I just wanna see what max level feels like and also I've learnt a lot of map knowledge

as someone whos newer to the game pve is helping me learn extrats and how to fight other "players" before it was available i was just getting slammed
