I LOVE to see you two together, there's something special between you two, a connection, a something that makes me smile everytime, something that makes me feel relax. Marshall is a really great guy, talented, strong you're lucky to have him as a friend as much as he's lucky to have you as a friend too. You two are inspiring, charming, powerful. Thank you you two for being two great souls and for both of your channel that inspires us everytime. Much love from France.

Hello Marshall, that is a great idea, about "the nails" at a crossroads. I never thought of it that way. You're right the "telephone poles" are covered with thousands of nails.

What he's talking about in the beginning around 4:45 is called Subjective Synthesis, and it's the basis behind why grimoire magic works at all. The systems in those books are constructed according to the way the creators believed the world to work. The closer a person's Work is to the way they believe the world works, the more potent and effective it is.

Also back to making small grimoires it would be fun to just eventually have a library of magickal tomes and texts of all the knowledge you have amassed over the years, also you could have like a charmed moment just searching through mountains of books to find this one spell.

Grimoires are so intimidating because I'm trying to make it perfect and aesthetic, but I love how the scrapbooking version allows for petitions to be like typed really nicely, or fixes pasted on top, or even (a fav idea in my head) to have annotations of how the spell went and what to do to make it better. Loved this talk and the petitions read aloud are so beautifully written!!

Both of you are wonderful to watch. I have watched this video SOO many times. I, too, have those journals that are "to pretty to mess up" and watching this video always inspires me so much to break into those pretty books and create that book of shadows/grimoire. You are both so creative and have made the most beautiful books! Big thank you to Marshall for sharing contents of his own book and I just love how much heart he has put into the creation of it. I can really tell you both adore your craft and it really is an inspiration to us all. Any time I feel creatively stuck, I watch this video and it all comes rushing back. Thank you both! Hopefully there will be more videos of you together in the future!

I love the combination of energy's you both bring to the craft. I am always excited when I see a video with both of you. I've been witching since I was 12....some 36 years now. I had a BOS that was destroyed by some one when I was 27. I started a new one in 2013 and I then pulled it to pieces to create a junk journal style grimoire, so I love the content of this video and can not talk enough about the power of the style of these kind of grimoire's or BOS. The fact you can keep layering your practice as you grow is so powerful. There are some amazing junk journalist out there who make stunning books and teach us seasoned witches a thing or two 😉💫📖. Thank you for your amazing content. And for the sake of the Goddess more of this combo you two are a powerhouse 🙌🏻 Keep up the magic. ❤🕯💎🕊📖🦉🔮🧿🎨☕

I bought a standard composition book for a very specific working in progress. Basically it's all the things that normally go in a grimoire (spell ingredients, tarot, blasé) but also notes for the mundane stuff relevant to it (budgeting for the week, appointments, memos for daily activities). The magic isn't in the spell itself but the book. It works as long as I use it as a planner first and foremost, with magical notes in the margins I don't use the sky for spells much. Obviously major transits and lunar phases, if I have time, I will. But I craft my spells to work as long as they're near me (light and easy to carry, usually foot track dust or perfume oil) because I'm always moving around

It's something that I hope to pass down to my daughter when I'm at the end of my time so she would understand who I am. It's also to help me remember who I am as well or if my believes or routines change...again.

Another tip for coffin nails - If all you can get your hands on are nails that COULD be used on coffins but have not yet been, an alternative would be to keep a jar of graveyard dirt and let the nails soak in the dirt for certain period of time (use your own methodology to determine how long). Another method is to use graveyard dirt to grow certain herbs/flowers/plants (extra mojo in them that way too, but use discernment) and simply press the nails into the dirt being used, and retrieve them after a certain amount of time. Hope that was handy for some of you.

Thank you both so much for this wonderful video. I love all of your videos Olivia, you capture such a beautiful view of the world, and it always brightens my spirit. Marshall, the way you have crafted your praxis (new word for me, love the meaning!) is just inspiring, and I love how openly you discuss how you created it around your land and your beliefs, with little bits taken from here and there. This whole video really spoke to me and I feel like I've had one of those veil lifting moments where suddenly I can see more. Plus the inspiration for the grimoire/junk journal has been awesome, I have been feeling a little stuck with mine, and this has just filled up my creativity bank. I'm on my second watch through, I'm making inks from flowers and herbs in my garden, I'm sticking things in my journal to cover over bits I didn't like and using all of the washi tape I've collected over time. I'm having SO much fun. Love to you both ✨💚
