Assuming that the microwave isn't one of those ones where you can just hit the one button and it'll automatically start then 60 is quicker than 100 because you only have to push the zero button once. I saw a food item that said it needs to be cooked in the oven for 75 minutes but my timer app on my phone only goes up to 59 however I found that if I put 1 hour and 15 minutes it'll work just the same as 75 min.

When I was a child I put a cold boiled egg in our microwave for maybe 20 seconds. When I took it out, it was making crackling noises, which I found interesting, so I put it up to my ear to listen better. Then the egg blew up like a grenade. It was loud and hot AF. Egg was everywhere and I was left crying like a lil bitch. Egg-induced PTSD is real.

Female humans produce eggs & when the eggs don't get sperm then they get shed out of the body along with the inner lining in the uterus which we call periods/menstruation. Those eggs get fertilized when humans mate and sperm reaches the egg. Similarly, a hen's egg is not fertilized unless the hen has mated. Naturally, hens do not produce many eggs throughout the year so to meet the demand of the eggs in the market, the Poultry industry and the majority of the farms inject hormones in hens so that they can produce more and more eggs than their capacity and those businesses can earn more money. Also, the hens are kept in horrible conditions no matter how much "organic" or "free-range" labels are put to advertise. By producing unusually more amount of eggs, bodies of hens get damaged so they are sold to slaughterhouses before they even reach half of the age that they can live up to. The same practices happen in the dairy industry/farms, the only difference is that cows/buffalos produce milk only after delivering a baby and for only a particular time after the delivery so cattle, first of all, are artificially inseminated or forcibly mated by forcing a bull/ox over them which is not natural mating obviously and that makes it non-consensual i.e. rape. (In pet industries too females are tied up or are put into a small mechanical-like thing from where they cannot run away or resist what's happening and then the male is forced upon them to breed them just like in the dairy industry. Some practice artificial insemination too) Both female and male cattle are treated badly. Secondly, they are forcibly mated/artificially inseminated again just 10 months-1year after delivering the baby which damages their body and like the hens, they are sold to slaughterhouses before they attain even half the age that they can live up to. All this is beyond cruel so that's why I am a vegan :)

@Kevin Dorfman 40 yo for me. I knew the risk but, since I am very clever, I cooked it in a glass of water. That worked well and after a few minutes I had a nice soft-boiled egg. Unfortunately, when I tried to break the shell, it exploded in my hand causing multiple burns on my hands, my face and on an eyelid. Nothing serious but that was quite painful.

My dad did this once. Only he thought nothing was happening so he decided to pull it out. I guess the sudden change in temperature made the egg go over the edge because it exploded, chunks of slightly cooked egg landing in the living room, a straight line ahead from the microwave, about 4 meters away… where I was sitting. Landed all over the back of my head. At the time I was just surprised, but now looking back it’s hilarious.
