This sounds like someone thinking about their abusive father who died of cancer, she feels like she has to love him and care for him but its hurting them so much internally. They are paralized in pain unsure if its because they died, or the fact they waisted so much time of their life caring for their father who never loved them back. Shes done so much for him that she gives up on changing at all for others and it turns her into a helpless monster because she wss never taught what real love is. I feel like I'm watching an edit where the boyfriend died and left the other hopeless and alone. A couple that was inseparable during their life. Friends for years before getting together, getting married and one ended up getting killed during a war. The girl found it hard to find the will to live most her life, after loosing her father when she was 11 and her mother when she was born and getting bullied, but the only person that made her believe she was loved was her boyfriend... And even though there was a war raging on outside their front door she had never felt happier because she had just left the hell of her school and married the love of her life. When he died she was left with nothing... Excpet an empty house, a wedding ring and a toddler.

*currently suffocating in the corner because this is so good and the feels are hitting way too hard for a tuesday*

Story line: you drive across the country to see your toxic lover, but they leave you stranded and left to figure out how to get home... again. You get the taxi driver to bring you to a gas station near by. At the gas station you walk in and the store keeper points to to the pay phone in the back, knowing you’ve been here before. When he ask you why you always come here for the pay phone, you break down. He lets you cry and rant and reminds you you are loved and deserve the world. The world is full with evil so you can become stronger and wiser.

Every time I comment, I make sure to say how much I love your voice and musical talent... But I just realized another reason I like these videos. I can finally hear the heckin lyrics!

Also, I just realized, she made it clean. I appreciate that a lot. I love playing her songs for my little sister but I’m not supposed to let her here cuss words, and I didn’t even realize this original song had any cuss words until I looked up the lyrics. Lol.

You gotta learn to let it go. It’s not easy and it’s not fair but holding it in hurts no one but you. Don’t want until it’s to late either. My dad was abusive and horrible. When he killed himself it was so much harder to solidify my feelings and learn to work through them. feel the sadness and pain and then grit your teeth and work through them.

You won't see this likely, but the high notes you hit are beautiful. The first high note in this song actually made me tear up. I know how singing sounds, I was in choir, gifted and talented music, and heavy in professional music scene without participating due to insecurities and that high note was so beautiful and raw and just so so genuine I just teared up. Amazing.
