Here are two basic things we need to teach each horse.
1. A good gas pedal: The horse needs to walk, trot, and lope on a loose rein.
2. Good Brakes: The horse needs to read our seat, stop, and give rein pressure.
You must be mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared to teach a 1000-pound animal respect and trust.
