All this led to putin losing a very important asset (prigozhin) in the war. Apparently shoigu may not be an accomplice but he got played. Putin is not happy to say the least. Incredible how he would let an economist take his role, someone with zero military experience. But right now, putin values loyalty the most.

Actually Shoigu was promoted as minister of defense industry ( it pays better) also he now occupies a chair as a member of the security council ( in other words he is among those that dictates russian external and internal politics)

It sounds like a promotion than removal.. and probably a compromise between some big Generals & Shoigu as they dont get along..
